I have some questions. You said the silo is full? I didn't realize farmer's still use them...thought they are mostly for show anymore.
are your pictures in chronological order and they are fixing the top part? That makeshift platform they created up there to sit on, no thanks. Also wtf is that ladder standing on? also a LADDER?

Drove out to the cat ranch last night to blast doves and watch CFB all weekend. Hit some storms near Wakeeny then it cleared up. Got about .3 inches before I arrived then I noticed this storm building to the west around 8 when I went out to watch the sunset.

Went back out to the pasture around 10 to watch the actual storm roll in, pretty amazing, just lighting in every direction but still so far away you couldn't hear the thunder. Around 11 the wind shifted and the front hit so I decided a hill in the middle of a pasture was not a good spot to be.

Made it back to the garage before the rain god's came. Ended up getting a total of 1.1 inches last night.

Cousin winters cows for a guy so he still needs silage and hay.

Pictures 2 1 3 4

I think they took some plywood up to set stuff on.

I can't believe that silo is only 50 years old, looks like the leaning tower of Pisa.

Please tell me more about this farm blower(?)  Tool. It was in the back of a flatbed/haybale dispensing farm truck.

Also please guess how many riding lawnmowers are currently in the garage at the farm. Bonus points if you can guess how many are operational.

Its a mist sprayer.  Not sure the application in your area of the state.  I think you can spray cover crops, vegetables from the edge of the field. Possibly trees too.

I'm sorry what? Are all farms so rat infested you can round up 250 rats with some rat catching dogs? Gross

Close. 4 total and now TWO are operational.

One wouldn't start this spring so my dad went and bought another and at some point in the last month he got it running again.

It's probably the only one they sell at the local Walmart...

Also I'm sure he just writes that off as an expense when the farm accountant guy does the taxes.

Dirt, mixed with some oil/chemicals and some lingering cat/bird/mice poop ammonia smell.

Harbor freight specials. My dad bought around 5-10 of them over the years and would put the generator in the back of lil red so we could chop up firewood.

I bought a Ryobi gas powered lil guy for a bday present a couple of years ago but he never uses it.

I cut up all this firewood from dead trees in the windbreak since the spring. Still have a couple of piles out in the windbreak my dad doesn't know about because I'm tired of going out there in late December/January and he has burned all the wood I cut.

(And yes, I use that lil hand cart to take ALL the wood back to the woodpile, it's a great workout)
