i can watch a tv series maybe 5 times before i'm sick of it, there are movies i've seen that top 100 times easily

Watching a TV series 5 times and a movie over a hundred is probably the same number of hours.

Uhhh, not even close, dumbass.

you don't know that.this is a very complicated case, man. you know, a lotta ins, a lotta outs, a lotta what-have-yous. and, uh, a lotta strands to keep in my head, man. lotta strands in old roider's head.

fargo, the big lebowski, sin city, american beauty, the kill bills, jackie brown are all in the 10+ times a year since they came out range

fargo is easily the most.  a conservative guess would be 20 times a year for the last 15 years

Another part is that people seem to do quite a bit of research before starting a TV show, while watching almost any movie they come across that sounds remotely interesting. Really makes the batting average on what shows you watch a lot higher, curving the numbers.

Lol pretty damning evidence there Stevesie60 "hey, only the best TV shows are worth watching, but movies are always worth watching as long as they aren't super terrible"

It was an argument for movies, dude.

TV at it's very best is as good as movies at their very best. The vast majority of tv shows lose a whole lot of steam after 1-2 seasons and I only end up watching them because I've already invested a lot of time and want to see how it ends. Mini-series like Fargo and True Detective don't have that problem, but I'd probably have to give the edge to movies at this point.

i agree with all of stevesies points.

i enjoy tv shows more, but thats because i dont have as many responsibilities in my life as most people do. if i had a 3 children i dont think i would have watched 3 hours of netflix and a movie yesterday.
