Local hayseeds are infinitely more accountable to their neighbors and constituents than is some bureaucrat at the US dept of education.

More accountable? Sure, maybe, but they're also still capable of being dumb rube hayseeds that have no business making important decisions.

OT but religious institutions not being taxed as businesses is probably the political thing that pisses me off the most.

Healthcare company announces plans to leave Kansas, eviscerates Gov. Sam Brownback in open letter

http://pathfinderhi.com/kansas-isnt-home-anymore/

Jeff Blackwood, the CEO of Pathfinder Health innovations, released a public letter stating the company's intentions to move their corporate office from Kansas to Missouri because of the governor's "destructive policies."

FWIW I've never heard of this company.

We are borrowing and cutting from things that won't be there to borrow and cut from next yr or the year after, or the year after.  What's the plan, Sam?

We should sell everything west of Ft Riley to Colorado.

That would be a huge win for western Kansas.

Graves signed on for the Save Kansas Coalition that is looking to defeat conservatives and blames Brownback for the fiscal crisis.

Man, Sam is going to be a Trump level pariah soon.

Apparently the Wichita school district has over 400 people in "administration" positions making over $100k per year. That's  $40+ million in salary, and 5%+ of the total budget.

That has to be unique to that one district, right?

I don't think so.  I heard that kck had something around 20 or so.  One was a secretary and one was a janitor, both who have been there for 30+ yrs, so deserve to make more than the avg starting elementary principal, right?

Admin salaries are stupid high in many of the examples I have been given.
