I can't stand that he doesn't make them wear uniforms until October. The assistant UCF band director is apparently a K-State grad. He directed the band tonight for the national anthem and alma mater, I wish we had him. The band needs fresh blood and ideas. Dude got his building now, he should go chill on a beach somewhere.

The fact that they are band uniforms does not influence my feelings on how bad they are from a fashion standpoint. Like, they're just bad as articles of clothing.

Looked up who this is. He was the drum major my freshman year and a great dude. I sat next to him in an ensemble that fall. He was extremely intense, driven, and hard working. Would love to see him lead the band when Tracz retires.

Don't want to talk about the game. It's well documented the 3 or 4 plays that we blew that cost us the game.

So I'm going to redirect my anger at the band. But if you want to talk about a talent gap, my goodness. Kstate band = loud, playing when appropriate (on D, not O). Our Band = quiet, predictable. Do they just have a 20 song list and go in order, no matter the game situation?

It was a stark difference between the bands. Like, ours actually moves around and marches. We do fun and cool stuff and it looks like our members really enjoy being out there.

Like, I know we definitely "show up" more vs ku, but since this was brought up ITT and we're being honest, ku's band is pretty meh. That is a pretty spot on observation I have experienced in every ku-kstate game I've ever been to. Ku's band sounds tired and honestly disinterested in even being there.

Our band is awesome. Are they doing something different with the band inside of the OOD this year? I was there for the ESU game and the arena was filled with glistening, glorious sound -- seemed much better than in the past. Is the PA system doing something different or is it a function of where they are sitting now?
