Holy crap.  That is insane.  Did they have one of the first ever cell phones or something?

They were downstairs at the phone they had outside of the dorm.

also had JJIWtCaIWOK

Dilly's Deli....there was a sandwich.

And Union Fan loaf and biscuits and gravy.

Many young ladies who dated LSOC got a Dilly's Deli sanwhich just moments before being dumped.  Very public, very noisy, very easy place to tell a girl you are kind of into her pledge sister.   :users:

That's cold-blooded.  Dilly's Deli...that's where Starbucks is now, right?  Or was it where Sisters of Sound is?

Yup, Starbucks.  Had like $2 Ruebens on Tuesday.  Also, unlimited crackers.

best was drinking a beer in the street, watching bombers Club Karrington burn to the ground.

Remember it as well.  Was living at 11th and bluemont.  blue gray 2-story apartments.  god, that was a shitty place to live. . .

Those of you still in the motherland, does Terry still sell candles? Does the Collegian still run Jim's Journal?

They deleted the part about K-State, but looks like someone made another slight edit.

:dubious:

Who did that?

Yes on the candles, pretty sure no on the Journal, although I don't check daily.

I wonder whatever happened to Shannon Casebeer.  That name was carved into hundreds of desks and written on every wall in Seaton / Seaton Court.
shannon married dan gish.

Dan Gish was legendary.

Hey have you guys been keeping up with the new Jim's Journals? Really hard-hitting Sunday one not too long ago.

IT WAS A 1982 PENNY.

Man I love finding good old threads. All the people who contributed hilarious Jim Hmielewski memories to this thread are heroes.

You're right bro, I apologize.  It actually is a very big deal to me.  I guess you could say I didn't acknowledge it because turnabout is fair play.

For reals though, I love that you have Jim's Journal.  Which one?  I Went To College And It Was Okay?  Because I just ordered that used on Amazon for $0.01 +$3.99 S&H.

that was the one I had...

*edit*  but I guess we already knew that.    necro-thread.
