2006 KU could be considered one of Snyder's most gut wrenching losses if you think about it

'04 Colorado was pretty bad. Not that the team was going anywhere, but it ended the bowl streak, and I had made the trip there for the game.

96 Nebraska and 02 CU need to be higher, getting beat by shittastic backup QBs hurts even more

CU could have it's own top 10

10. Pasco Fiasco
9. The multiple times Wooly had strung a couple of wins in conference play together only to get curb stomped by Ricardo
8. '06- :moreira: muffs a punt with 1 minute left in tie game at our 25 yard line
7. '11@CU -McGruder's buzzer beater getting waved off
6. '05-Klatt's hail mary
5. '96 - 2nd coldest game i have ever attended after the Lin Elliot game
4. '01- Physically dominated a Cat team that was still riding the moral victory high after the close loss in Norman
3. 95 - maybe the most gut wrenching home loss I have ever seen in person, prompting this classic postgame troll from Slick Rick "Colorado is still Colorado and KState is still KState"
2. '99 - NU@CU - CU's dumbass kicker missed a 33 yard field goal that would have sent us to destroy UT in the Dr. P
1. '02 - Allowing Robert motherfucking Hodge to throw 3 TD passes cost us a shot at the Dr P

You have 06 and 05 CU wrong. That was 04 and 05.

Also, football thread.

Guys, I get kinda bent outta shape about inaccuracies regarding past games and I shouldn't. But my biggest one is when people say Ell didn't play in the 1st half of the Fiesta Bowl. _FAN is right. How does a journalist not get that right? Its pretty easy to find a box score for that game.

Fresno State '04 was THE most annoying.  Pregame, Stan talked about how the Fresno State players were "bullying" and "pushing around" the K-State players before the game even began  :horrorsurprise:.  We followed that by buying out the next Fresno State game, so I got all these really crappy emails from Jayhawk fans linking me to the Sacramento Bee article making fun of K-State for the buyout.

It's funny, because I read it and thought "that doesn't seem right," but just kind of went along with it, because Bob Lutz should know his stuff, right? Then again, he did mention K-State's 37-7 win over No. 1 Oklahoma in the same article. Maybe I should question authority more.

Side note: It's a little surprising to me how many are listing the '99 game at NU relatively high on their lists. Sure, we were undefeated, and technically right in the BCS title hunt, but I remember Jonathan "The General" Beasley being pretty banged up coming in, and thinking that it might get ugly. Maybe it stung worse than I remember, but it definitely isn't one that comes to mind.

So teenage Benja was at that game. I still remember it clearly because it was so weird. We actually had a pick six on like the first series, and then were basically destroyed for the rest of the game. It became pretty clear we were getting punked in our own stadium, with the FSU coaches and players gesturing constantly towards the fans and such the whole game, but k-state people being so salt of the earth and nice, just mostly left early in disgust or sat silently. I remember my dad let an f-bomb fly, which was amazing to me because I had never even heard him swear. Emotional night that 2004 fresno state game was.

Also, like three different running backs had 2,000 yards on us, and then we hurt their best one on some garbage play towards the end and he was out for like the whole year.

The 2005 Texas Tech bitch slapping was god awful.   It was a WTF moment for the program in general.  You kinda wondered if Snyder was on his way out after the season.

Not sure if it was exactly gut wrenching but I remember being pretty pissed off when we went to Fresno at the end of '07.  Win and go bowling.  We scored on a long TD run on the first series as I recall...then got pounded the rest of the game.

Also, I think I blocked '04 out of my memory.
Wondering who is running this hot dog stand and seriously considering heading out for tacos.

Guys just take 5 seconds to look up box scores. Don't say "I think I remember" about a game. Accuracy people sheesh.

Loses that make you realize your team is good, but not THAT good. (96 NU, 97 NU, 99 NU, 11 OU, 14 TCU)
I'd add '01 OU to this list as well.  HEY THIS YOUNG TEAM MIGHT BE ON TO SOMETHING THIS YEAR!

Great list though, Fan.

True, I couldn't quite include it because our team ended up not being that good. (at least record-wise) All those others occured in 9+ win seasons (hopefully TCU included).

Also, 93 ISU still gets me. Its tougher because it wasn't on TV and it was just really bizarre. Listening on the radio the Cats were seemingly in control (up 17-6), then the streaker, then ISU gives to the FB on triple option the rest of the game and we lose.

It did have during the game though.

I'm so terrible at these. I'm good at being a fan of a terrible team, and I'm good at being a fan of a really good team, but I suck at being a fan of a pretty good team. I don't know what to do.

no, 01 OU created that mojo then CU brought it to it's knees and @TT finished it off

@TT reminds me, I am going to do a top 5 of worst losses listened to on the radio because they were not on TV, this list will begin only with 94 as only a few games in 93 were even on TV.  I am including @ULaLa & @CU in 2010 that were available on ESPN3 and Powercat Passport because both feeds were pretty sucky.

5. '01 @ TT - pretty much ended the streak of double figure win seasons
4. '05 @ ISU - Todd Blythe is unstoppable
3. '10 @ CU - I blame Gill's one conference win for this one, had the hawks not scored 35 in the 4th we get to face Cody Hawkins
2. '10 @ ULaLa - Memories of struggling to score on a Sun Belt team make me nervous for next year's trip to UTSA
1. '05 @ NU - Tearrius George (amazing name, frustrating player) gets what Wyatt and Stan called a pretty weak PF for hitting the QB on NU's final drive and allows NU to kick the game winning FG and end our bowl hopes

CF3 - box score nazi away

Actually, I think if we beat CU in 04 and then ISU, we would have won the North.

Good call on 05 NU; that was gut-wrenching.  A poorly-played game, but would've been our 5th win in 6 games verses NU.

I think '07 KU is a underrated KITN game, watching KU win in Lawrence was one thing but seeing it in Manhattan really hurt. Also Jordy burned Talib and I though it would be easy.
