You'll often see Sen. Pat Roberts, a 1958 K-State graduate, around the football complex in Manhattan when he's not in Washington. Snyder has several mementos from Roberts on his wall, and even says the senior senator has a special role within his program.

"He's our tight end coach," Snyder said. "I've always called him our tight ends coach because he always got on me for not throwing the ball to the tight ends enough. So, I told him I would make him a tight end coach. He comes in and I always introduce him that way to our players. They call him that as well."

It's kind of shitty how he tried to make it seem like his best bud Pat Roberts pulled a fast one on him.
