I really want to make an interactive eye-spy thing out of this, but probably won't have the time.

Is that house still in Salina?

St. Joseph?

He lived in Salina briefly as a child. Which is what that picture is of.

Really makes you think there is more to Jim Colbert than meets the eye.

The Big 12 Legends plaque looks like it has not been removed from the plastic it came in.

I don't know. I see all of that pinocchio stuff. After I've seen this trailer a million times, I get scared. Like, they say Bill likes the actual pinocchio story for whatever reason, and that's fine.  There's plenty of good crap to learn there.  Probably a few of his goals came from it.  I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm really scared that LHC Bill Snyder is that Ultron guy and someday he's going to destroy the world because we're all gross and humany.

"oh that piece? oh that's just some boring painting of jim colbert and i sitting at a blackjack table in some old timey country bar with some old timey country bartenders and card dealers and then some cowpoke in the back launching a two foot jayhawk through the air at us. just your regular typical stuff. hey look at this copper bowl clock though! i mean, wow!"

Don't forget old school Willie on a pedestal in the middle.

I mean, I need a high res image of this thing and I have to know the story behind it now.

I already examined this piece,  son. The message is that Snyder should be exalted to the level of these other sports luminaries. IT'S THE NELEPHANT IN THE ROOM.
My winning smile and can-do attitude.

I mean, this thing is really a treasure trove. We're finding out more about LHC Bill Snyder here than we have ever.

I mean, he likes the Big 12 Legends thing so much he has 2 of them up there.

I think the guy on the right is Jack Hartman. And the guy left of him is Rip Taylor.

On a related note, while doing some googling about the Colbert-Snyder pic that may be the Zaprguder of our time, I came across this from SI in 1998.

If you want a good look at the painting, go to the Texas Roadhouse in Olathe. The huge painting is on the back wall. It is some sort of KU/K-state legends playing poker. Don't know why the gooney bird is flying through the air.

my guess is that the one on the left is the featured one and the one on the right still in plastic wrap is back up in case the main one gets scratched or something.

well if you can tell me why there is a guy hanging from the wall on the right, i'll forgive you for not knowing why someone is apparently throwing a jawhawk at him.

well god damn yes we will value it. also, why is there a second picture/painting seemingly taken/made at the same exact time but from a different angle?

I always thought it was Snyder, Colbert,  Allen, Naismith playing poker and the guy on the right just walked into the room (can't see his face) and Snyder is shrugging as an answer to a question. I always hoped it was pinkle or Larry Smith demanding to know why Snyder always ran up the score on him? Never figured out who the guy in the back is and whether he threw the bird and if so is he throwing at the guy who just walked in.
