Our rich folks don't really care about baseball.

I mean no offense to our little horned frog friend.   But I've lived in DFW-Hellhole.   I have relatives who live there and they literally keep tabs like they're in solitary confinement, counting the days to when their respective companies are going to allow them to work from wherever they want.    For some strange reason my parents just visited there and they actually cut their trip short.

If hell is concrete and ugly glass buildings, than hell is DFW.

Sorry bro.

Its a good thing that isn't hell then.  Hell is an imaginary concept to keep farmers in line.

Not a farmer, so, don't care about the whole keeping in line thing.

Hell: (noun) a place regarded in various religions as a spiritual realm of evil and suffering, often traditionally depicted as a place of perpetual fire beneath the earth where the wicked are punished after death.

I think you may have altered that dictionary definition.

Man, this guy is a terrible representative for the Horned Frog faithful. He skips home football games because they might have uncomfortable weather, openly insults their basketball program, wishes a heart attack on their head coach, and to top it all off, he's from Missouri. Let's hope TCU actually has some legitimate fans who will post here.

Also, you do realize Gary's ultimate ambition is to come back to his home state and be Defensive Coordinator for us right?? He's a wildcat at heart.

Haven't we pretty much laughed at all things TCU for the past two years.   It's been like watching a baby learning to swim, they got tossed into the deep end and they've pretty much been flailing around.

Haven't they lost like a 176 straight or something in basketball?

I think they broke their streak against KU a couple of years ago.

Sorry but I'm not sitting in 105 degree heat in the sun all afternoon to watch us pound some pud Louisiana school 56-3.

I'm also sorry that you think all fans must be homers.  I'm realistic about my sports teams.  You should try it sometime.

And finally, GMFP's wife is from Fort Worth and apparently she wears the pants in the household because he hasn't left yet.  I also didn't wish a heart attack on GMFP.  I hope he can coach until he's as old as Bill.  But being realistic about his health, he is short and fat.  Generally people that fit into those categories don't live long lives.

You've made my point, true fans from Texas would sit in that heat for their first home game.

TCU is better than Iowa State in every way.  We're not cousin fuckers.  For the most part, we're realistic about our teams.  Our women look tremendously better.

I personally would like to get back to talking about tiny cities, and the problems and challenges of creating and maintaining them.  I don't think I even mentioned the issues of water sanitation.  Let me tell you, it's a big one.  Lizards and not would I call "dirty" animals, but they are not exactly clean either.  Lizard scat is small (they are quite efficient at absorbing the required nutrition from their prey), but the density can wreak havoc on pipes.  I would recommend buying a lot of pipe cleaners.

Simulating the weather is also interesting.  For example, common toads will die unless exposed to thunder/lightning at least once every three months (this is a fact I discovered an published in a paper).  But how do you make it lightning in house?  Well, go back to the physics of it all.  I purchased a cheap Van Der Graff generator from the local school (it was liquidating supplies after a budget cut) and zzzzaaap lightning!  I use pretaped thunder sounds as well.
