A question. Most of my buds call the evening meal "dinner." A minorty of my frieids say the evening meal is "supper" and say the mid-day meal (my "lunch") is "dinner". I don't want to offend my buds. Is the evening meal "supper" or "dinner". I like dinner.
ive heard biggest meal of day is dinner. So it would be lunch sometimes. Like if you eat your thanksgiving meal around 1 in the afternoon it's thanksgiving dinner.

jmlynch is correct. Dinner refers to largest meal (whenever eaten); supper is the evening/last meal. Hayseeds often use these incorrectly.

Wings. Nachos. Beer. At a sand volleyball/bar and grill. The volleyball courts were actually a playground in disguise for like 100 kids. The food tasted like it had a little bit of sand in it. Like when you have a picnic at the beach.

Mrs. Bones was out of town. I threw back several crafts and then micro'd a cheap TV dinner. Stouffer's lasagna. Shame me.

On the farm the noon meal was always bigger than the evening meal and was therefore "dinner". Confused the hell out of Grandpa this summer when I told him about what I was doing for "dinner" that day and it was 3pm and was like, "you haven't had dinner yet? You need to stop what you're doing and get some food!" Was pretty great.

Michi has it correct. I'm about to blow all of your minds. dobber grew up on a dairy farm. We had breakfast at 7:30am. Dinner at noon. Lunch at 3:30 pm. Supper at anywhere from 7-9 pm, depending on the season.

4 planned big ass meals everyday. No obesity.

I'm trying Barramundi from Trader Joe's for the first time. Also butter & parsley potatoes and spinach/berry/almond salad.

Sometimes the sides are hard to think of.

Saturday night I had two, I repeat, 2, walking tacos over at ms. wacky's moms. She wanted to call @pissclams to tell him the news. She loves talking to him about walking tacos.

Last night Tonya and Ms. Tonya brought over Papa John's.  One pepperoni and one half sausage half supreme.  Oh and cheese sticks!  We ate 'za and drank wine while watching SNF.  Delightful little evening.

Slowcooked chicken and a cheese sauce and put it over pasta.  When the sky hits you eye like a big pasta pie that's amore!
