If I'm driving and 100% focused on a podcast, I can speed it up.  When I'm working, I zone in and out so regular speed and not super in-depth are the way to go.

One of the main reasons I enjoy driving for work. Hours upon hours of listening per day.

Def one of my favorite parts back when I drove for work a lot

I thoroughly enjoy Smartless podcast. Steph Curry and Peyton Manning have been my favorite guests of late.

Taika Watiti on Smartless has been my favorite. I do enjoy the podcast, but I feel like every time I'm really excited for a guest, they joke around with each other for 50% of the show while the guest is waiting for them to finish.

Incredible podcast called In Trust About the stolen wealth of the Osage in a modern context.

Like the pioneer woman’s family is the largest landowner in Osage county today

The Rest is History is doing a fascinating series about the sinking of Titanic right now. Up to six episodes so far.

I've been driving a lot lately, and I also really like listening to Smartless. Every episode has stuff in it that makes me laugh. However, they are all terrible at interviewing. The hosts (esp Jason) love to hear themselves talk, but they rarely get around to forming an actual question or even letting the guest reply before they start talking over them. Not sure if this is an intentional running gag, or if that's just who they are, or maybe a little of both?

Smartless is like a sitcom, imo.  It's like Applebees.  There isn't much actually good there, and as long as you are ok with that and just want some cheap laughs, then it is fine until something better comes on.

I switched to spotify for organizing podcasts from apple podcasts (because apple podcasts kept randomly downloading 2 year-old episodes) a few months ago and I have been pretty happy with it. I have a family sub so everyone can enjoy ad-free music and it is kind of nice to keep music, podcasts and audiobooks all in one app. Spotify seems to play fairly well with the Apple CarPlay.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Charles Lightoller who played a prominent roll in getting people off of Titanic later used his private boat to spy on uboats and he assisted in the dunkirk evacuation.

The movie Dunkirk features a character based on Lightoller, old man in the boat that picks up Cillian Murphy.

Best Smartless interview to date was with Arnold. They did a good job letting him tell his life story. Looking forward to the interview with the presidents.

Sorry to keep beating my The Rest is History drum ITT but they just did an interview with Tom Hanks about going to the moon that was both fascinating and entertaining. Highly recommend if you have any interest in space exploration whatsoever.

Almost surprised they don't get more sh1t for the roasting of Sean for his dad leaving them when he was young and the amount of gay jokes towards him.

Didn't you watch Apollo 13? It was all about how Tom Hanks made it to the moon.
