This is a wonderful paragraph:

Quote
According to Alex Jones, truTV pulled the episode from the airing schedule due to government threats. Jones added that he isn't allowed to talk about it, something to do with government men in black showing up, and "they are now remotely erasing it off of DVRs."

Yes, it's got several elements.  The more subtle one is the better.

BTW, Mrs. Bloodfart MD says you're all pussies and chill your eff asses out.  Direct quote here "There is a medical protocol: We are obligated (medically and legally) to test patients for diseases if they meet certain criteria.  Ie. if a person has been inan Ebola endemic area and they show up with ANY symptom we are going to test them.  They will be placed in isolation till the test is negative and despite HIPAA the media will SOMEHOW still know about it."

If it provides you with any security she provides services at several hospitals in Rural ks and even there on Every patient that comes to the ER. Regardless of their chief complaint they are given screening questions to assess for risk factors for Ebola.  She does say it is unfortunate that this was not implemented before Mr. Duncan was diagnosed with Ebola in Dallas but at least as it stands now it seems all ERs in the US are screening every single patient with a questionnaire as they walk into their dept.

PS. she says get your flu shot!

Interesting factoid here for Wichita people.  Wesley is currently asking for a volunteer Dr. to (if it should happen) admit a patient(s) that is suspected to have Ebola.  Currently no one is stepping forward.

There a few better ways to start a sentence than: "According to Alex Jones"

so let me get this straight, 1st healthcare worker pretty much restricts herself to her apartment and only comes in contact with 1 other person and is left to be treated at the hospital that is bungling its way through this.

but then you have the 2nd worker who was jetsetting and potentially endangering hundreds if not more people and she is getting transfered to Emory.

if i was worker #1 i would be pretty pissed about this obvious death sentence.

I haven't been paying much attention, but it seems like in just about any American hospital, you would have about a 67% chance of beating Ebola, minimum.

Is this what the start of a Hollywood-style plague looks like? An incompetent government repeatedly lying about how "there's nothing to fear"? Our myopic failure to impose travel restrictions, screenings, and rapid response teams (isn't that a primary function of the CDC?!) is starting to look like Obama's "Katrina" - only with far worse consequences. I mean what the eff? How is a government that devours over $4 trillion a year this stupid and slow?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

I'm pretty sure there is a Renee Russo-esque or Dustin Hoffman-esque person somewhere trying to get the CDC to issue travel restrictions.

Well, now you know it's serious. Obama just cancelled a fundraiser to convene his cabinet. http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-hold-ebola-meeting-cabinet_816326.html

I'm going to hit up the grocery store for canned goods on the way home tonight.

If you haven't been doing robbing/pillaging workouts the last six years, there's no one to blame but yourself.
