I think I would prefer the United States lose its standing as the world's primary power at this point.

Wow..   I have always appreciated your input regardless of what I think of it but this is just incredibly ignorant and makes zero sense. You're joking?
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

What good is being the world's leading force of democracy in the world if we can't pressure a relatively small ally to take care of people that the ally made refugees by bombing the crap out of their homes?

What exactly are we doing with the power at that point?

Awful lot of the world woke up this morning and got to decide how they wanted to live their lives without the concerns of living under an authoritative regime.  The power of the United States and its nato allies ensure that. It’s worthy of celebrating and honoring, as imperfect as it is.

Fair enough but I don't see how any of that goes away if we make aid to Israel conditional on treating Palestinians like humans. It might be an imperfect situation, but would be worth celebrating and honoring.

Now cRusty is demanding action. The dude barely said anything in this thread while Pedo Pete and Blinks were helping Israel blow up Gaza - now he’s demanding maximum pressure on Israel from Trump

Agreed I should have been more vocal against Biden's Israel policy and actions

Do conservatives realize dismantling USAID hurts our world standing as well?

Yeah. We should let those people control the world's strongest armed forces.

Bucket . . . much of the world knew what the gig was when USAID (NED) showed up, just like much of the world understood what it meant when Vicky Nuland and John McCain showed up.

They're not idiots.

Is the K-State Sorghum program with USAID a money laundering, child smuggling operation too, Dax?

What did Rubio say, Bucke?  USAID thought they were above control, of course that was driven by the fact that they were a cut out for the DOD/CIA.

They'll be brought back in line with the State Department and diplomacy. I know you're a huge #neocon, but unfortunately for you, it appears the State Department may look at least a little less like another branch of the DOD (CIA) going forward.  I am sure you're disappointed.

i am not wrapping myself in the lord

i grew up in the church but have drifted away in my adulthood

i don't believe that any religion posses a monopoly on instilling socially advantageous values

i do believe that those who want to speak of the value of living in a christian society should at least consider the teachings of christ when making policy choices
