Have several OU people giving me crap about the ass-kicking they're going to give the Cats in October. Payback for 2012? Still stings apparently to all of them. My goEMAW'ers, convince me that we'll win. I got nothin. Also, living in Oklahoma, I hate OU almost more than KU.....  :dunno:
Not all Oklahoma residents living here are OU fans as you know.  Some follow OSU to make a statement against Sooner Nation.

I think the question becomes can anyone run the table in conference play?  It hasn't been done yet since going to a round robin.  OU has a better than average record of home wins, but there are some trap games and they have a knack for losing the games when looking to the following week.  I think the earlier they are played, the greater chance for an upset. WVU could do it in Morgantown or someone could do it in Norman.  If K-State can play plays close to error free ball, why not?

Wondered why Bobby wore a visor during the sub-zero '03 Dr. Pepper, though he didn't get much black magic out of it that game.

I attended all of these games, but MAN 2001 still hurts. lol

2012 - I felt like we played "perfect". No turnovers for us and Landry Jones and Blake Bell (the FAILdozer) played like hot garbage. Defense played great, Hubert ran well, Klein was efficient, and our run defense was pretty good.

2009 - Offense actually wasn't horrible. Gregory was something like 19-30 throwing, and he and DT ran the ball well. Just got in too big of a hole out of the gates. Also, Banks' KO return, DT's bomb and jump pass...

2005- The Allen Webb fumble still haunts me....Shut out at halftime. NO PUNTER....Nightmare

2001 - Ell's pitch the wrong way.  :frown: E3 was only like 12-30 or 12-35 (something horrible) in that game. But for over 250+ yards. And man did he run it well! Scobey was contained pretty well if I recall, and Lockett only caught 1 ball. But Brandon Clark and Ricky Lloyd man LOL. Still got into too big of a hole....The freaking fake punt and Ell's pitch.... :curse:

1997- I just remember I was 9 and we won 26-7. And the stadium was like half full.

Moral of these games? Have a positive turnover ratio and grab an early lead/stay in the game. I think we'll give them a game.

Who fumbles on the  2 yard line for us this year?  Screen pass to Blake Bell?

not yet.

I believe that OU has officially submitted their appeal to the NCAA, on the grounds of the run-off rule.

In case you aren't aware of what the run off rule is intended for, it is for athletes who were on scholarship at a school X, when school X over signs their recruiting class, they run off said athlete to make room for the new class. Under the run off rule that athlete is eligible to transfer to school Y without sitting out the year.

DGB's case is in no way related to the run off rule. If OU wins the appeal and he is eligible to play it is complete bullshit.

Gary Barnett (former CU coach, currently does CFB radio broadcasts) said DGB will have to be released by MU to allow DGB to play to OU this year and that decision had not yet been made.  I guess this makes sense with the purpose of the rule being to allow kids that were recruited over the ability to play right away.

If Barnett is right (I enjoy him on the radio but I don't think of him as being best source for NCAA minutae) on the role MU plays in this I can't imagine they will release him.  I could maybe see it if he was from one of the best HS programs in the state but Hillcrest is a baseball powerhouse.

A lot can happen between now and when the two teams play. Based on what we know currently I feel it will be a close game and the team that makes the fewest mistakes will win. With that being said I will say will be a  30-27 Cat win.

They are pretty awful against the pass too.  This might be his best game yet.
