Wednesday Movie Franchise Smackoff: Rambo Edition
« on: June 18, 2014, 09:45:17 AM »
Time to break up the Wednesday doldrums. We're getting started a little early today, because I have a feeling this day would be especially doldrumy without. So, step on up to the plate and pick your favorite film from the Rambo franchise, starring ol' Sly Stallone as John Rambo. Get some, OOAHH!

its got to be Rambo. After 20 years of studying what you really want in rambo movie the just give it all to you and smirk.

while first blood may be the best film , Rambo is without a doubt the best rambo movie.

if you want to see doofy crap, like a guy shooting down helicopters with a bow and arrow, then please vote for rambo 3

if you want to see bad guys get their human bodies melted with point blank machine gun action, then you have to vote Rambo.

I definitely can't. I just remember him (rambo) shooting a shotgun when I was little. I have no clue which movie that was (probably all of them) so I left my vote off the table.

i like Part II when Rambo is talking to that bureaucratic a-hole Murdock on the radio and Murdock tells Rambo that they're coming to rescue him, but Rambo says "Murdock" and then lightning flashes everywhere and his sweaty grip tightens on the microphone and then the camera zooms in on his mouth and he says "i'm coming to get you" and then Rambo goes all Rambo on those Russian torturers and escapes that prison camp. wow, tensions are sky high right there

Remember in first blood where they drive him to the edge of town and tell him to GTFO?  Also that happened in the Big Lebowski I think?  Anyway, I wonder if that happens in real life.

My favorites are First Blood and Rambo. I have a hard time picking between the two. Rambo: First Blood Part II is also excellent. Not really big on the third installment.

I've never understood that. The tip would be way too heavy for an arrow to fly properly.
