Lol this thread turned from legitimate things that could bug people about soccer into an attack thread on soccer fans, and s_c and myself defended ourselves and those other Americans who are passionate fans. Not shocking that mh could make an assumption what this thread was about.

No, it was started because I saw a sporting game at station and it ended in a tie and I thought that was lame (this was the night I had to work at 7 the next day and was super paked by 10)
i hope metalhead feels like an bad person for calling you on the carpet like that. props to you for taking the high road. he would probably blow up if someone accused him of impure posting motivations.

I feel like it's my substance abuse issues that cause the mood swings. That or I'm just a total bad person. It's probably the latter, not the former.

It was poor word choice on my part. I forgot what this thread originally started as. I should have said something along the lines of, "why has this thread turned into bash SWC and Sunny for doing/ enjoying something that they find fun?" I'm sorry, friend. Goals are very very valuable, like 100 times more than a basket in hoops. They are very difficult, and when a team gets one, everyone's like "Wow! They worked so hard and got that goal!" I like that there aren't easy goals in the course of normal play, really makes 'em count.

What's lame is penalty kicks. They make the goal go from a miracle, to like a 75% proposition. Penalty goals are too easy IMO

So I just saw a normal good looking guy wearing a t-shirt, shorts, a USA scarf and a Chicago Fire scarf. 2 rough ridin' scarves in 85 degree weather. This is far worse than sloppy old guy with oversized NFL jersey and cargo jorts. This guy should know better.

guarantee sporting kc guy was doing the same thing, I just wasn't there to see it
