Reasons soccer is kinda lame

By far the worst part about soccer is that all the best players don't play in one league.  Like, the Barclays is supposed to be the best and yet the two best players in the world play in Spain?  I mean wtf.

This is not true, you don't see LBJ going to the CBA or Europe to play.  You don't see Peyton, Tom Brady, AP going to Canada or some crap European league to play. Cabrera isn't going to Japan to play.

Soccer doesn't have a dominate league with all the best players in the world, the World Cup is a country by country every 4 year event.  Even when it's not a World Cup year, you still don't have the best all in one league, its stupid.

as someone in a non-dominant country, i appreciate the diversity.  we have one of the better leagues and get to enjoy having a strong product domestically.  i'd be sad without sporting kc

Is it really that hard to find cool stuff about each sport and enjoy all of them? Tonight alone, I watched/kept an eye on two soccer games, a hockey game, a basketball game, and a baseball game. And enjoyed all of it (except the Royals being awful ).

For soccer, in addition to following Sporting, I would highly recommend picking a European team and following them closely.

My favorite thing about soccer though is the solid 45 minutes of play between commercial breaks. The end of NBA and NCAA hoops games have a commercial break every 25 or so seconds of game play and it makes it tough to watch sometimes in games where you're not invested in the outcome. I like that the 5 or so times a year I watch soccer I know its 45 minutes, half, 45 minutes, extra time, game.

Should try watching rugby. It's like that with more action. (Only 40 minute halves tho)

All of the world's best players are involved in WC qualifying. The fact that they don't all make the tournament is like saying the NFL Playoffs are joke because Adrian Peterson isn't in them every year.

Soccer actually has a lot going on. Similar to Rugby, if you do not play (or watch it alot), it takes longer to observe the entire field and realize what play is developing.

Does that make sense?

Yeah it's just a game. I'm not a fan of hockey or tennis really but I'm not like, all butthurt about it like some of the anti-soccer folks on this blog community.
