Lady Stoneheart is probably out just because there are zero characters of interest in or around the riverlands, and no reason to think that will change, in the show.

Everyone talks about how disappointing it was that GRRM didn't get to introduce the battler for Hardhome, but i'm more upset about the Tyrion/Danny/Jorah scenes.   The whole Jorah arc is just getting stupid and while i like Tyrion being witty and funny again, the whole storyline just seems thin.  Jorah getting banished twice?  Total snoozeville.

it's too bad martin didn't finish the books before the show started

he's such a eff.

I agree.

I still really enjoy the shows, and have loved the books...and I'll of course read the future books.

He morbidly talks about how if he dies no one can continue the book series.  My guess is that George is a severely depressed alcoholic....I think he writes Tyrion as himself.

He is tyrion, trapped in Sam's body, blessed with Pycell's flair for taut, concise prose

What if Jorah winds up fighting Daario in the pits though?  That could redeem the Jorah storyline somewhat.

The show should make it a running gag.  Like what else can Jorah do and the Queen will STILL kick him out of town, THAT RASCAL JORAH!!!

So you need dragonfire to make Valyrian steel but you can use any old forge to melt it down and make other weapons and it still has it's Valyrian steel properties?

In the books, it was about magic too, and the books make several mention to how since dragons had gone extinct magic was basically gone, but how crap like seemed to be returning(coincided with Danny and her dragons being born).

Well, that's still a crap excuse for the logic on how Tywin could melt down Ice and make two more swords, merely using the local Smith.

What a fuckhead

Yep.  He shouldn't be taking time off to "promote" the book, it will sell regardless.  That's about his ego stroking, IMO.  Oh well, we are just his faithful fans who bought his books and made him rich, who cares what we think.

Hopefully he learns his lesson and keeps pounding away on the final book if he finds himself in similar circumstances at the end of the current one.

Yeah, that's my point too.

catelyn died so long ago and we haven't seen the brotherhood without banners in so long that at this point if lady stoneheart shows up, people will just
I eyerolled when this happened in the book. I probably also eyerolled when I likely spoiled this moment for you by recanting  the books before the show.

Man, what a crappy episode.  Wonder if the fighting pits and Drogon overshadowed everything for the show-only watchers.

* Shireen  :frown:
   - Thought this one would have worked better if Selyse had been suggesting it all along
* Merryn Trant's pedophilia  :blank:  There's not already enough motive for Arya to kill him?
* 20 Bolton men sneak into camp and burn all the stores AND all of the siege weapons in weather where it would be difficult to get fires going  :blank:
* Dany riding the dragon.  Cool CGI bro.   :blank:
   - Drogon in the pit was really well done though

Who's going to save Jon now?  Melisandre's not at the wall, Thoros of Myr hasn't been seen in several seasons........white walkers?  He could warg into Ghost, but that limits the possibilities going forward.

Jon's only hope is probably Bran magic.  :frown:

I'm thinking we might see Jon stabbed and then not know what happens until next Season.

This. Let the show watchers chew on that for an uncertain amount of time!

Yeah, the Ramsay-raid is pretty dumb.   This is a time without gunpowder or explosives or gasoline.  They'd have to have hauled big jars of cooking oil and even that wouldn't have gone up that quick.   Even if the explanation is supposed to be Wildfyre (which would be super rare outside of the capital)  You'd still be talking about 20 men all carrying multiple gallons of the stuff over rough terrain, at night.

it would be the greatest troll job OAT if the season finale ended with Jon getting stabbed, then we never encounter the Night's Watch again in the TV show or books.
