Howland is doing a damn good job pretending to be a devout worshiper of the seven, if he is indeed the high sparrow.

mocat, you've never heard R+L=J before?

So in the book Margeary gets arrested by the faith, but it is because they think she was having an affair...which later gets refuted. So how is she going to get out of it now that her arrest is because she lied - and since that guy described Loras's birthmark it is pretty clear he is telling the truth?  Are they just going to say that the squire could have seen the birthmark when he was helping Loras dress?

Assuming Lady Olenna arranges to have the squire killed to avoid testimony at trial.

How is Cersei going to get trapped?  The Kettleblacks aren't in the show and it seems a little late for her to get tripped up by Lancel's confessions.

They could always reveal her incest with Jaime, but that would have a lot of far reaching consequences (like un-legitimatizing Tommen)....Wasn't she screwing anyone besides Lancel while Jaime was gone on the show?

Moon Boy, probably

How does everyone feel about the show seemingly speeding up and over contents just to get out in front of the books?  At least thats what it seems like to me.  Why cut so much?  You could include it and just embellish the crap out of things to make it more interesting if you don't think it plays well on screen.

I, for one, don't care for it.

Next thing you know, the author is going to die and they'll be having Ashton Kutcher play his part.  :frown:

I want to bail on the show, but my wife doesn't want to watch it by herself.  It's a weird conundrum.

When Tyrion met Dany, I didn't really know how to react because that event has been building in the books, but never happened after Dany rode Drogon out of Mereen.  So, I'm not sure if they're just skipping that part or what.

Man, the Dorne stuff on the show is just awful.  It wasn't great in the books either, but its just a mess in the show.

What in the eff is going on?  They are freaking flying into uncharted waters now. This thing is off the book's rails.  They have to kill Jon Snow ASAP, but I bet they now wait for the last episode of the season.

I am growing convinced that George doesn't bother to finish the books.

I mean, the joy of this series, for me, was that it appeared to be a fairly faithful treatment of the book.  Now, the show is both taking liberties with the story AND moving the plot past what has been written.

I am in mourning.

my favorite speculation is jon dies end of next episode, then in 10 stannis dies and red lady does her prayer to raise stannis but it raises jon instead for end of season cliffhanger
