the title of Episode 10 is "The Children". How far ahead are we going here?  :sdeek:

I think, well, I hope, it's a reference to what happens with Val's son and Gilly's son.

We aren't going ahead just yet, but it looks like Bran is going to be all caught up. If GRRM doesn't get his next book out by the end of this year, Bran is going to get interesting.

Preview of next week with someone slowly approaching a door... Gonna be sad about that one  :frown:

I don't get this, are you sad about the toll it takes on the perpetrator?

Why isn't anyone talking about how sad it was when Ygritte died in Jon Snow's arms?

Because that might have been the worst part of the episode. "Let's throw out all the guidelines we've used to shape the battle so far and have a heartfelt moment!"

Yeah, actually I think the book was more heart wrenching since they didn't even get a goodbye...but it was still sad dammit!

They got a goodbye in the book.  He found her, they talked and she died.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

I'm pretty sure Bran is going to meet the Children of the Forest and plug himself into that tree.

I think you are wrong. That doesn't agree with the timeline in the slightest.

On second thought, my original thought doesn't fit with the timeline either. However, there are some significant events that occur in the lives of the three Lannister children next episode.

Also, could be Mereen. The released slaves all refer to her as Mother.

I remembered because I was glad she didn't die bitter at him and also him being relieved when he recognized that it wasn't one of his arrows.

OK, but in the book she didn't have the chance to kill Jon and then hesitate which showed she still really loved him....I don't know...something just makes me feel like there was more closure between them in the show than in the book.

Yeah, they never see each other during though he does see a redhead and doesn't shoot at it because it might be her.  He's up on that tower the whole time shooting arrows in the book.

But the reddit guys, who are better at this stuff than I am, seem to think Bran meets Leaf next week, so who knows.

I could have sworn that I read somewhere that they cast somebody to play a child of the forest, so my prediction is mostly cheating. Maybe instead of coldhands, they are going to use leaf to guide Bran to the tree? That would fit the timeline a little bit better. If Bran actually makes it to the tree, they are going to skip some of his stuff and his storyline is probably going to get a lot different than it is in the books.

Unlikely, Coldhands admits to being much older than Benjen could possibly be... So the next epi is going to have a dead Tywin, Lady Stoneheart AND children of the forrest?   Will this infact be the best final episode of all 4 seasons?  Methinks yes.

That's not canon. The only piece of solid information we have to date Coldhands is Leaf saying, "They killed him long ago." Who the eff knows what that means.

Seriously, I can't think of a more satisfying death, for me, in the series.

Tywin > Viserys > Joffrey
