Evil Dead is clearly the Cadillac of the genre...I haven't seen the remake, did they do a good job with it?

The Saw franchise turned into a mockery of itself toward the end, but the first one/couple were pretty damn intense
Probably not an 'according to Hoyle' Horror movie, but the single most intense/'real' scary movie I've ever seen is Funny Games w/ Tim Roth & Naomi Watts...if you haven't seen it, you are missing out -
