Even though I am very optimistic, I am a bit concerned that "hips" have not been mentioned once in this thread.

a valid concern
I wonder who could rectify this omission?

Yeah the QB who curb stomped Alabama isn't that scary

Half the Big12 could've "curb stomped" Alabama that night... The Tide had no desire or motivation to play that game whatsoever.

I wonder if they have a history of getting "curb stomped" by an inferior opponent when relegated to the Sugar Bowl: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Sugar_Bowl

 :dubious:

you mean the Utah team that went 10-3 the next year and only lost to (edit) TCU, Notre Dame, and Boise State? they were pretty good.

Yep, Utah...  A decent "mid-major" that has struggled in the Pac12 just as TCU has in the Big12.  The point is, OU didn't do anything in January that a solid mid-major couldn't accomplish against an un-motivated Bama squad.

So if Nate Jackson is CB2 and McDaniel is CB3, who is CB1?  Cre Moore?  Jesse Mack?

you, like many k-state fans, are so good at finding faults in other football programs besides our own.  OU's win against bama was better than any in the history of our football program.

BP anything on our TE and FB play this far?
Ugh, Trujillo at TE is not an exciting prospect. Kid can block but he dropped way too many easy passes last year.

I don't agree with this, mostly because non-championship bowl games are glorified exhibition games.  That said it would be the best bowl win we've had by light years.

Something to think about: Snyder has a history of playing OU close in Norman.  The only time they've run roughshod on us there during the Stoops era was the missing punter game.

According to my data tables, we should win this year 34-24.

Primarily, but if you're playing tight end at the collegiate level you should be able to catch an eight yard dump pass as well, especially when you're wide open. He dropped the same pass multiple times against TCU. I'm giving him a hard time, but I'm also sure he'll improve on this before August.

Notes from Saturday's Practice/Scrimmage:

LHC Bill Snyder- broken foot. Stuck on a golf cart.
Starting o line: 55, 61, 66, 77, 68
Starting d-line: 44,45,95,99,&75(sub)
WR corp looks good overall. Looks like good depth overall. Sams will be fine. Other starters: 7, 14, 85(TE). 13 got a lot of reps with the 1's.
The o line looks like a clone army of farm kids- all 6'5". 300#. Pretty funny.
LB's: 21,22,35
Waters looks good. Crisp.

There is some confusion as to the report of "22" starting at LB... could be that Barnett was playing nickel or could be that the "spy" confused 52 with 22.

k-state's bowl win against a dogshit michigan team = impressive
OU's win against defending champ Alabama = not impressive

got it, you are a complete rough ridin' dumbass
