This is not representative of the entire fan base, just the vocal minority. Most would love if Embiid came back, but completely understand him leaving for the NBA.

I think your vocal minority assessment isn't accurate, it isn't like KU fans don't have an extensive history of doing this.
I find it even more amusing that the t-shirt fan base/joco crowd is at the head of this. Nothing is more "convincing" to me, than a bunch of drop outs telling a future millionaire to stay for a "legacy".
