michigan would have finished barely above iowa state if they played in the big12 last year.  beating up on michigan means nothing

They're full of 4/5 star recruits. That's the dumbest evaluation i've ever seen. it does matter and they would have done well in the Big 12. Just stop.

They were 1-4 their last 5 going into the bowl game and the lone win was in 3OT vs f'ing Northwestern. Just stop.

Well Sams big game was against Baylor before he pissed it away late, who later got waxed by Central Florida, so I guess he sucks too. #Casestudies

Jake Waters doesn't deserve this fan base. Good grief, ppl. I get it, sams is more fun to watch, but get a rough ridin' grip. Waters progression was really nice last season. You guys continue to look at Jake's faults, but ignore Sams late game mistakes. I trust this coaching staff a lot more than some butthurt hayseeds that wants to watch sams run.

Jake was better at the end of the year, but it's not like he put together some string of good games. Even when he was playing better, his play was inconsistent. People are over-hyping the Michigan game like that's how he played the last 4 games.

Oklahoma and Michigan really stand out. It looks like he improved a lot since the beginning of the year.  :dunno:

He did have some nice stats against Oklahoma. He was a complete failure in regards to consistently moving the offense and not having short drives that end in punts and poor field position, but it's probably unfair to put that all on him. The coaches made the conscious decision to completely abandon the run for no reason at all, not Jake. I wouldn't point to a game like that as a success either, though.

I usually look for the positives in everything and with Dsams at WR I believe the positive will be that we will run those super awesome jail break screens where Dsams can score TD's all the time.

It is fun to think about that, just like it has been fun to think about running those screens to Lockett.

Please don't negative my positive.

I "hope" the reason we didn't run those with Lockett was because he was usually the only one fast enough to stretch the defense deep, and we needed him for more deep routes.

And, hopefully, Sams size allows us to feel more comfortable tossing to him in screen situations and getting YAC.

So, positive vibes, 'zacker.

Since the word "dumbass" makes up half your english language, i'll take it with a grain of salt.

If we are committing to Waters, I hope we choose to run an offense more suitable to his strengths.

If Ertz is his backup, they are kind of clones of each other, so there's no excuse not to do it that way.

Well, going off of Ertz's HS tape, he looks more like Klein/Sams to me than Waters.

Wacky, I'm not going to sit here and say Waters sucks. But you can't pretend Sams got a fair shot at QB when he didn't have Lockett to throw to. How good do you think Waters would be without Lockett?

I don't think either QB got a fair shake. However, I saw enough mistakes late in games by sams and enough progression by Waters to understand that might stick for this year. The coaching staff was obvious with both QB's  last year, and it hurt them at times to be successful. Knowing Sams can play another position makes me feel comfort for this year.

How far out are we from Wacky saying he's leaving this blog forever only to come back whenever the tucks are right about something, then have another meltdown, leave, comeback to make a tuck talking point, rinse, repeat?

Not sure, it's just weird how much the townies back eachother so much on here. I really don't care, but it's entertaining on my side.

This post excludes- KK, Rowdy boy, etc.
