Sounds like kRusty is the victim of 4K UHD TV's and the fact that they're wrecking the cinematic experience . . . but OMG, look at that clarity!  I digress

So that's it?    Years of "winter is coming" . . .  the AoTD is a rolling ball of 100,000 ice diamond honed butcher knives one minute and the next they're icing down the beer?   Come on bro

it was pretty good imo and the lack of major death and dismemberment leads me to believe that the battle of king's landing will feed us that highly desired sweet nectar

Oh yeah. That's been the real meat all along. I was just hoping the "Great War" and its main villain would have had a little more substance.

Don't worry. All of the substance will be in the book that never gets finished.

Just rewatched it this morning. What a treat. Loved the music for this episode. Honestly, the corniness part for me in GOT is easily the Night King. He’s super lol to look at, but I still enjoy the crap out of him.

No I think a shitty Roku plays a big part of it. But like the scenes where they're like leaning on the dragon in the windy dark was way too long and bad

There were quite a few things that can and should be criticized but it was still a very good episode.

I was pretty pissed to see Jorah cruising back in after the Calvary charge.   His death was way more dignified than deserved. I would have bet the farm on Grey Worm dying so that was a surprise.

Wait GW survived?

What about Missande basically calling Sansa a little bitch?

What about the hound acting like a coward/ maybe even throwing Baric under a figurative bus?

I legit thought Ser Brienne died at the very beginning of the initial infantry clash. Had it held true I thought it would have been a wickedly good turn after basically dedicating a lot of EP 2 to her.

Again, WTF Bran!?!? Though I do think some of his strategic planning was crucial, many WTF moments.

Also, the battle strat in general: Charging the hoard into the zombie hoard? Not immediately retreating the infantry when the first of the calvery survivors retreated after being pulverized?

Lastly, I’ve been big on the Sansa train for awhile, but she was pretty garbage/helpless last episode imo.

I was hoping the Night King would have a conversation with Bran.

Was very much expecting the beginning of a conversation to be the cliffhanger

it would have been interesting to understand more about his origin or motivation or something

also, they probably should have just killed bran if that's all they wanted

Great episode overall. But seriously guys you can’t give us one surprising death? It’s not that I just want important people to die, I just want something to happen that makes the ending not completely obvious (Jon and Dany taking the iron throne and liberating the seven kingdoms).

Season 6 is pretty strong, at least as good as the second half of Season 5, but yeah this is where things definitely start getting silly. The Hodor time loop. The Night King can evidently teleport his army wherever he wants, but Meera can somehow outrun the whole army while pulling Bran on a sledge. Arya gets gut stabbed, repeatedly, and not only lives but then runs the Boston Marathon. Jon Snow was a complete moron in The Big Battle all the fans have been waiting for. But the Hound and Ian McShane make up for all of it. Also Blackfish.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

the episode was ridiculously stupid and the whole story with the white walkers came to a completely unsatisfying conclusion.  however.  i really liked it when arya killed the dude and i'm just so rough ridin' happy that all that magic/north crap will never pollute another episode.

There have been what, 3 actual kings in the roughly 10 years of Westeros depicted in the show? Add Stannis, Robb Stark, Renly, Dany and kind of Jon Snow (more?) vying for the iron throne, AND Cersi and Tywin Lannister at various times basically acting as King/Queen.

That’s some seriously tumultuous history.
