Rewatching made me remember how much action was packed into the first 2-3 seasons and then how painfully slow it got with the whole sparrow thing.

I'm on a rewatch rn, about halfway thru S6.  Most shows start declining after a few seasons but man this one keeps getting better.

The later seasons have not been as great IMO. I’m almost certain this season will be a huge disappointment, but I’m already all in so what can I do.

When I re-watched I forgot how much nudity was in season 1 and 2.

Also...last season was not boring.  Stop trying to be edgy and enjoy the ride.  Series like this don't come around often.

I follow the story loosely, I think the acting and production is very good.

i'm going to try to re-watch the series before starting the last season, but I'm getting a late start. I'm halfway through Season 1. I had forgotten how good the first season was with Sean Bean. None of the characters are insufferable at this point. They do an excellent job at teasing out all the familial intertwinings that are the bedrock of the story and will become more fully understood in later seasons.

Right now, I wouldn't skip a minute of it. I think starting around seasons 3 or 4 there's a few arcs I'll probably FF through if possible. Should hopefully be caught up before the series finale.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Qyburn makes no sense to me. Robb finds saves at harrenhal after the mountain slaughters the whole town. Now he's turned the mountain into some undead monster super killer and serves the people who ordered he be slaughtered and helps fight against the people that saved his life. Wtf dude

Yes good piece. I certainly couldn’t articulate exactly why I didn’t like the later seasons as much but that’s probably it.

george is obviously saving all his really good subversive plot stuff for twow.

in the meantime i am very much enjoying db & db's dialogue and also expensive af wide shots of drogon burning stuff and also long tracking shots of bronn running around in the middle of it, Children of Men-style.

and jim broadbent! i forgot how great he is in everything.

yes, but doesn't the fact that people seem to be able to travel around too fast sort of ruin the whole show for you? - idiots
