Do you guys think that one agent's son was going to grow up to be a serial killer?

i was let down by Mindhunter S2 iirc.
I'd rewatch it to confirm this but then I'd just be upset that there wasn't a third season coming out.

It's very good.  I like the format of the entire season being just 1 day at an ER.

The one intern having to change his scrubs almost every episode seems like an homage to killing Kenny in Southpark.

It took me a couple of episodes to get into it.  I was wondering what was making a medical show unique enough for Max.  The single-day thing works and I think does a better job conveying the chaos of an ER.

Watched the Gabby Petito doc on Netflix and I'd like to beat the crap out of Brian Laundrie's parents right now.

Felt like I had to come in to plug The Pitt (on Max). Has been my latest obsession since Squid Game.

Family is just absolutely enjoying Lost. Kids are just gripped. Its hilarious. The first thing they ask when crap is mostly done for the day is when we can go downstairs and watch. Been a fun family thing this cold ass winter. I'm surprised how much it has held up. I'm the only one that watched it when it was on, but i'm not bored at all with it on the rewatch. It's a bit of different watch knowing the ending, but still fun. The cliff hangers almost every week were just wild. My kids can't imagine having to wait a week or longer on some of them. It's a fun dad thing to say, "nope, sorry bedtime" on a big one and watch them freak out on me and beg for another episode.

I think we just finished season 2. It's sort of hard to keep track and I have my kid show me the episode list every once in a while so I can remember where we are. So many weekly episodes were mini cliffhangers that it's hard to tell. I almost blew it the first time we saw Ethan.

I'm interested to see what they think when we hit the lull which I think was season 3. I remember it getting pretty boring around then and people dropped off.

Entering final season of Suits.  First 3 seasons were pretty good but following five, not so much. I don't think I could have continued with season 8 if Mike had still been on the show, his character was too whiny and too predictable.

Explain the appeal of the pitt

A few things appeal to me:

1. Interesting/informative look into what goes on in an ER. Obviously it's dramatized, but it's just as focused on handling actual emergency situations as opposed to a drama that takes place in a hospital.
2. Love the pace of everything happening in real time and jumping between cases of various severities.
3. The format gives lots of opportunities to reflect on big themes like the fragility of life, ethical responsibilities, etc. without feeling forced.

Agreed - A regular medical drama might have a sad death episode and then a happy save a life episode on separate weeks.  This weaves those stories throughout the season but any episode could hit on multiple themes.  That feels more real to me than other medical shows.  The individual patients affecting how individuals act the rest of the day is interesting as well and can be more clearly illustrated in this format.  As catastrophe mentioned, it also keeps some of the interpersonal crap minimized as opposed to a show like Grey's that focuses on it.

It's still very much a medical drama and isn't pioneering totally new territory, but it's presenting it in a way that focuses on the aspects I like the most.

Hell yeah. Our family had a similar experience.

I'm through 3 episodes of season 2 of Severance and I think I'm out. I understand it's a good show, I just don't have the patience to wait out all the seeds that have been planted to see what the answers are. Maybe if everyone loves the finale I'll binge it, but it's setting up for either a huge pay off or a huge let down.
