Frank and oscar appear to both have been very frustrated with Shane Southwell and Will Spradling.

A trusted source (A- or something) told me that Shane & Will were the most selfish players the program has had since he can't remember when. Said they limited this team more than any shortcoming the squad might've had.  :frown:

Like, besides the idiot who got T'd up for dunking in warm ups at the tournament?

Weber said the same thing to "people" at Illinois about McCamey and Davis their senior year. Seems like a talking point he likes to recycle.

As to the quote in the OP, reminds me of what oscar said once in a post game presser about taking Chester to Oz to see if they could find him a brain.

:surprised:

Quote
"He has heart, but he has to have a brain too," Weber said. "So we'll go to the Wizard of Oz and see what we can find to help him."

And he and Chet eventually went to Oz (the Wamego area).  Makes the Milwaukee fairy godmother thing even scarier.

The lack of vocal leadership is absolutely meaningless if Shane and Southwell don't combine to shoot 7/29 from 3 the last 3 games of their careers

it feels like oscar knows if he trashes frank's players then it will make him look like he's "cleaning up the place" and most of the fanbase will eat it up.

I don't think this is planned, oscar just says stupid stuff sometimes.

precisely, i don't think he has the intellectual capacity to plan anything of that sort.

The only people he has to get over on are the majority of the K-State fanbase.  That doesn't take much.

the polite way to do this is to say about seniors who are quiet etc "They lead by example."

The strange thing is that the quote is from before the tourney, so it's not as if he is trashing them out the door after their performance against UK.

I really want to zing Kellis via twitter about his Will Spradling knowing the offense line but I suck at twitter.  I wrote him something but he probably doesn't even know what I'm talking about.

you're talking about a guy that has gone on record multiple times saying that scheduling is more important than recruiting and maybe the most important thing a coach does. i don't think we can put anything past this yutz.
