JT or Nigel will start also if we start 2 bigs it will be Hurt or DJamer not Bolden
Where does Edwards fit into this?  I'm a huge Edwards fan, do we go
JT/Nigel
Foster
Edwards
Westicles
Gipson ?

Either way I'm excited about the depth at all positions next year!

I'm not sure about Edwards, but Foster seems to like him: http://powercatgameday.com/cats-suffocated-kentucky/ (first video)

Quote from: Marcus Foster
Honestly, in my opinion the best player on our team next year is going to be Hopper the transfer from Maine. You know he's been in the gym working hard and I feel he's going to be our best player and our leading scorer next year honestly.
Heard multiple times from guy with A+(he says) source(staff member, allegedly) that Bolden and Edwards are clearly the best on the team, hearing Marcus say this improves my confidence in those reports.

I've been very impressed with Nigel's speed and quickness when I've seen him play.

I was surprised how much Greg Anthony talked up his defense.

One time a guy on gopo said that he was at a practice and Edwards/Bolden were the two best players on the team. That's the only time I've actually seen a source attached to this scuttlebutt.

I don't really see Westicles playing the stretch 4. He will always be a 3 imo, especially with the depth we'll have down low next year. Like someone previously said, DJamer or Hurt will start at the 5.

Edwards has been here since last summer. Hurt will likely get here in June. The media won't get a look at practice until October.

Have not heard over the top reviews about Bolden, but the staff still loves Jeveon because they are not stupid. Adding the four pieces of Edwards, Bolden, Jevon (up to speed) and Hurt (staff loves him) should makes us real salty. Not getting in to the top 20 would be a failure of a season.

Jack Krap needs to get Bruced and bring in a project big/red shirt with some upside that Jack doesn't have.  I love Nino, but he shouldn't see the floor next year.  Gip actually having a 4 guard him instead of the 7 footer's will be huge.  Starting 5 might be Nigel, Foster, Edwards, Gip, Bolden/Hurt.  Westicles may be coming off the bench.

I am with you on oscar needing to bring a project big - I want him to kick around Wisconsin and find one of the 6-8+ shooters Bo Ryan always has.

I am not sure we see much of two real bigs together unless Hurt is a legit shooter from 3, I recall it looking pretty ugly when Gip and JO played together.

I don't think Westicles can play the 4 and gaurd a 4.  That is why Southwell got benched late because he couldn't guard the 4. That means you would have to start Nino over Bolden or Hurt and that just doesn't make any sense.

man you guys every year we go through this same ksu cats freshman stud thing where we think a recruit is awesome and will start and turns out he actually kinda sucks and wont hardly play. see jevon Thomas this year. we thought he was going to be the next big thing when we got him for b12 play.

none of the new guys will start next year.

starting 5-

nigel, foster, wes, nino, gip.

getting excited for some 3 star freshman or juco transfer guy to start and make a huge difference is such a kstate thing. wake up. we recruit decent players who will stay 4 years and be experienced guys for b12 play/ncaa tourney. sure, marcus foster was a 3 star freshman who made a big difference this year, but don't expect that every year.

if any of those new guys start it will be because we are much worse than last year.

I agree on the Wes, Nino and Gip as the front court oscar will trust the most.  I really want Wes to become more of 3 pt threat and I wouldn't mind it if Nino rediscovered that part of his game.

We've seen how playing undersized with Gip as your center and Nino at the 4 works.  Could it get us to the tournament? Yes.  Will it win the BigVII or a tournament game? No.  Have to have a rim protector on the floor. Plain and simple.

yeah that's awesome and stuff and id love to win the Big 7 next year with a super awesome rim protector but the guys we have will most likely suck or not be able to work offensively or suck with gip on the floor. we don't have a guy like youre talking about.

By rim protector I mean someone that is over 6-7 and has better than a 12" verticle.
