really don't get all the replacing gip talk. hes by far our most valuable player.

No, Foster. Gip is a fairly close 2nd.

Gip is clearly 2nd, but I'm not sure if I would say he's fairly close. Foster is just insanely good.

An outside scorer and and inside scorer need each other IMO.

I agree that Foster is really good.

ok, theyre interchangeably our most valuable players. still don't get why people would want to take touches away from him for some 180 lb 6'10" guy whos never played a big 12 game before. because gip doesn't block 4 shots a game? gmafb. we had the best defense in the big 12 this year without a shot blocker.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Man, what if, Edwards can handle the rock fairly well?  He is known as a slasher w/ great athletic ability.

What if, he took over some of the pg duties....he would be a bigger pg that could use his height and strength and athleticism to drive and penetrate and I can envision lobs to Hurt/Boldon for monster dunks? (sorry, no lobs to Gib, cause I think he struggles to jump)

I'm thinking that Hurt/Bolden/Foster/Westicles will get a pretty even ratio of monster alley-oop dunks.

Does anyone remember the dunking glory of FGCU last year on their cinderella run? I foresee a lot of that.  :excited:

I don't think anyone is saying take touches away from Gip.  He just needs to be moved to the 4 and take touches from Nino.  Keeping Gip from having to guard guys like Embiid will help keep him out of foul trouble.  You can always go back to the small lineup if needed. Gip would be better on the block with a 4 guarding him than the 5's anyway and Gip can hit the same mid range jump shot that Nino does.  Plus your rebounding gets better with Bolden/Hurt instead of Nino.

I really hope we're better at scoring in transition next year. We screwed up a lot of easy points this year.

and it's a picture of the turtle dunking two hands from the free throw line. you can tell he went from the FT line because of a -------- line from the FT line to his current position hanging from the rim. he has a headband.

Nigel, Jevon, Edwards and Bolden's Athleticism should help us get and convert in transition.

Big thing is our defense can become elite. Nigel and Jevon are going to be far better at the point of attack then Marcus and Will were this year and we are going to add a back stop in Hurt and Bolden. Then shifting Gip and DJamer to the 4 should help us close off possession with defensive rebounding.
