Further steps in the right direction:
All channels should offer an option to watch the game with either: 1. No commentary at all, or 2. just the play by play and no color commentary.

I would be fine with just the game and the dumb TikTok robot voice telling me what foul was called and on who.

I'm guessing most people think they would like it but really wouldn't. Every now and then I'll come across something like the FA cup or college water polo with just a PBP guy and it's weird.

That said, the skycam feed that ESPN uses for CFP games only uses crowd noise and is pretty cool

Or it might further isolate him in a destructive bubble.  He has a couple young kids and he and the wife both have jobs.  crap is tough then.  If you pour yourself into work too heavily, it's pretty easy to get out of whack and get unhealthy.  Not condoning what he was doing at all.  Not condoning the direction he has been coming from at all.  It seems unhealthy as hell.  He def needs to figure that out.  Just don't know if closing his access to good guys is a good way to do that.   Just an opinion.  One that doesn't matter.

He's in a destructive bubble with or without this board and probably will be at least until he stops drinking and/or gets some serious therapy. But he's less likely to hurt someone ELSE on this board in the process if he's banned.

I think this is prob controversial, but I totally agree. I've always thought it was weird as crap singing this song and parading military people around before games. Its totally weird before other events like parades???

It's a weird vestige of Nationalism that springs from the world wars. I agree that it has no place in relatively meaningless games of sport. But the people drink it up.
