I love Brent.  His voice is iconic and lends itself to that "big game feel."  I'll really miss him and I especially hate that he's going to do SEC games.  SEC already has the very capable CBS stable of broadcasters. 

Maybe Fowler can reach Brent's status someday.  I think Fowler is a pro.  My dad never liked him though because in Snyder's early days he'd always take pot-shots at Snyder's scheduling, comments (my dad thought) could be attributed to his CU Buffs background.

I heard a podcast a year or so ago where Fowler said something to the effect of he was wrong about how he previously viewed Snyder.

I remember, maybe it was 1998?, Brent took a shot at KSU and the scheduling. Said that La Tech was gonna come in and stomp our ass. We won the game 56-14 or so. I've gotten over it, but hated Brent for a while for saying that.
