Yeah the IRS has threatened me with that but I haven’t owed taxes in like four years cause of deductions. Seems very unfair.

My office moved to the Missouri side in the first week of '21 so I won't have to file in two states anymore which I'm pretty pumped about.

We owe taxes for the first time in quite a while. Both my wife and I made significantly more money last year and her employer squashed her side consulting gig removing a lot of our normal deductions.

I sold company RSU's and did the "sell to cover" for taxes and I'm doing my taxes and it looks like I'm being taxed on what was sold to cover taxes.

I got an extension last year to give us time to sort through mrstdaver’s business stuff. Probably gonna do it again. Really easy for any of you procrastinators out there.

Try to balance to get zero out and zero in. Usually get something like $150 from fed and owe something like $100 to ks. This year, they both paid me a couple hundo.

Same, after we bought a house and had kids, i started paying an accountant. My 2021 refund was so unexpected, i actually followed up with the accountant to make sure there wasn’t a mistake.

95% of individuals taxes can easily be done by themselves via turbotax and be right.
