Ok, so this proves Einstein's theory, one that we have been using for a century already, what does that do for us going forward?

doesn't prove anything, just further evidence the idea is not completely wrong

Important for how we think of time in the universe.  Especially if we ever decide to work on faster than light travel (just one useful application).  Star Trek-ing people good, sending people to Event Horizon hell bad.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/3048157/data-center-cloud/the-internet-turns-tay-microsofts-millennial-ai-chatbot-into-a-racist-bigot.html

Quote
Getting a computer to say things it shouldn't is practically a tradition. That’s why it came as no surprise when Tay, the millennial chatbot created by Microsoft, started spewing bigoted and white supremacist comments within hours of its release.

Quote
The bot has a quirky penchant for tweeting emoji and using “millenial speak”—but that quickly turned into a rabid hatefest.

Quote
The bot was taught everything from repeating hateful gamergate mantras to referring to the president with an offensive racial slur.

Still loling about this.  I mean, Microsoft spent the time to engineer an AI bot to interact with ppl and with in 2 hrs the Internet turned it into a white supremacist bigoted hatebot.  The power of the internet.
