You can only repress a good meltdown for so long, I guess.  I didn't even see that one coming honestly.  It just seems like most of the people on this board would rather hate on KU than say something good about K-State.  There was a time when fans like Dax were the exception to the rule, but now it just seems like K-State fans hate the crap out of KU like never before.  The "eff KU" chant from the student section and the constant circle jerk to KU's horrendous football program are just two examples of this recent phenomenon.  Social media brings out the worst in people, and this board is no exception.

Just relax about K-State.  It's not really that big of a deal.  Very few of us even bother to post on any ku boards, let alone spam the hell out of their board.  We don't need that crap over here.

I'm curious Smock, why do you come on goEMAW? Is it curiousity? An addiction to trolling? Or are you legitimately an EMAW supporter?

Friend, the pure, unadulterated hate of K-State, particularly amongst the old timey ku crowd is a wonder to experience in real life.   There's a reason K-State occupies vast quadrants of the ku all-time record crowd charts, there's a reason why Perkins and Alden moved the ku vs mu game to Arrowhead and it was because the ku vs mu game on campus(es) rarely sold out, most of the time the game had 1000's of empty seats.

In football, if the roles were reversed between ku and K-State, phogtuck land would be having a 24/7 fap fest.

You lack perspective, sorry friend.

There are two years left on the latest $1.2B KU Endowment Far Above campaign.  I have heard they have raised almost $1B of that amount.  KU Athletics and KU Endowment will work together, so I would expect the timing of the football renovation will coordinate with Rock Chalk Park finishing up, the Far Above closing out, or perhaps be the last big hurrah! of the campaign.

Oh the things I wish I was allowed to tell you about RCP. If KU can't afford to pay for that facility what makes you think they'll be able to afford a decent football renovation?

Did you read my post?  KU has $1.2B raised to spend.

Yeah because that's how endowments work, also there's no way this is a sock

I think I know a little bit more about endowments than you do.  I got my degree in Endowments from Baker.  From what I am hearing, KU is planning a massive overhaul of the stadium.  It will put your rinky dink hole in the ground to shame when it's done.

ku's total football facilities improvements over the last 15-16 years:  $63 million (that even includes new videoboards and such).  ku has $50 million dollars listed on the KBOR timeline for 2015.

K-State's total football facilities improvements over the last 15-16 years:  $117 million.  K-State has an estimated $62 million approved by the KBOR in additional football facilities improvements.

ku's stadium needs a massive overhaul to bring it up to major conference D1 standards.

As for KU football, yeah, it's been a tough few years.  It sucks when your team loses and when your program falls off a map just a few years after winning a BCS Bowl and going 12-1.  It sucks losing to your in-state rival when your alma mater went 4-1 against them during your time in school.  But you know what?  I wouldn't trade being a KU fan for anything.  The tough times just make the good times that much better, and I appreciate what we have in hoops that much more.

I think you meant "one". "Few" implies you didn't await history the following season

KU went 8-5 and won the BWW/Insight Bowl the year after the Orange Bowl.  Started 5-0 and top 15 in '09.

let us know when they(you)tsc over at the phog.net and then you can say this. Don't act like it doesn't work both ways dumbass

I must have missed the "eff K-State" chant during the KU/KSU game in AFH.

Beems is just a typical ku fan who demands nothing but accolades and adulation for ku at all times.

A clear and defined level of low self esteem.

since we're :kstategrad:

we should give KU's embarrassment of an AD a crazy high interest loan to make renovations. we can either make a shitload of money off them and it raises the bar to do more renovations on our side, or we can laugh at them as they miss payment after payment and we can send a collections company after them.

All the outrage by ku fans in regards to any perceived slight, or any perceived lack of class never fits the reality of their own actions.

ku fans simply cannot stomach anyone having some fun at their expense.  Sad, but a clear sign of a lack of self esteem and worth.

If you can't see the difference between a movie reference and an "eff KU" chant, I can't help you.
