They should consider doing something like Allen High School.

What a nightmare.  :sdeek:

Maybe KU should just build a new stadium around the hill. That way everyone at the game gets to see the hill the entire time. And just imagine the home field advantage a football field on a hill would provide. Charlie would probably need to get the Rascal out of the closet for the postgame handshake, though.

32-degree crown.

It's just imperative that they do it now.  They are just so far behind us

Serious question, How many stadiums (if any) are worse than that dump in Lawrence?

Well they can't really get any further behind though.  What's the rush?  They can pick it up whenever they want.  Just call a couple boosters and BOOM new stadium.

beems sure does love him some tunnels and tiny hills.  I don't recall ever having heard someone sell a hill as any sort of attraction.  Tunnels are great though imo.  So much fun.

oh i'm sure they'll get to it right after the new track and field thing and the new basketball apartment thing and the 18 million dollar basketball building to put the basketball rules in thing. i mean who needs to put money into fball? it's not like the stadium bathrooms have an actual real life sewage issue or they have a 3-40 conference football record over the last half a decade.

Big ass Kauffman Stadium style fountain on the hill? Honestly Emaw's would enjoy it more than Squawks. Fits the trend of more Cats being there for games anyway

Is it too late to pull down the west side expansion thing and replace it with a big majestic pile of dirt?

Being honest here, I would be kind of jealous if KU ends up with a network of secret tunnels in their football complex.

oh yeah. the tunnel thing sounds just great. maybe even make them kind of secret or something like move this tree branch on this tree over by the sewage pond by the fball stadium and then the tree opens up and there are stairs and then you come out by the east side concessions.

could you guys imagine how fired up you would get hearing the 'click clack' reverberating down this tunnel?

Wire some hidden speakers in there and just play a rhythmic whisper chant of "rock chalk rock chalk rock chalk" as they are "click clack"ing.  Chills

This, our guys have to go there every other year.  What kind of message does this send to our youngsters, that we force them to have to traipse around in crummy digs like that?
