ok, here's the deal.  every year i start exercising in late winter in order to get myself in shape to endure working outside during the hot texas summers.  over the past 2 years, my exercise efforts not only had no affect but also started producing decreased energy levels and health.  that does not mean that i worked out and the next day i was tired.  it means after a prolonged period of time exercising, think 3-5 times per week for months, my overall fitness is almost less than it was before.  add to that, a decreased sex drive and i knew something needed checking.

i had heard some low-T spots on the radio but was not going to go to a hack center that only makes money by giving T-replacement therapy.  i went ti my doctor and he chuckled when i said i thought i had low-T and said "so does every guy now that there are commercials."  i explained to him what i posted above and he ordered a battery of tests.  he assured me it wasn't going to be low-T.  next day he calls and said he was wrong but wants to do another testosterone test, same result.

myth, exercising raises testosterone.  he said that exercising will give you a 15 minute boost after exercise but it does not raise overall T over a course of time.  you will quickly surpass that T level needed to recover from workouts.  T replacement is necessary to improve quality of life unless you just want to lay on the couch and exude 0 energy.

myth, low-T makes you not want to do manly things.  false, still have 100% desire to do manly things, just don't have the energy.  also, if you have a crappy taste for doritos, more or less T does not change that crappy taste.

if you think you might suffer, go to your doctor.  i am already seeing huge results in 3 months.

Are you taking a vitamin C supplement?  Recent study showed it can prevent fitness from improving despite hard work.

I see Soren at the gym. He does not appear to be getting T injections.

What ever you do, stay away from stimulants, especially adderall, they seem to affect the t more than anything else.

I didn't go to bed till 4am last night. Rolled around all night.  :frown: What's that mean? Woke up at 6:45 to workout, because I couldn't sleep. Probably my high anxiety and the fact I quit smoking. I can never sleep now.  :frown:

one time in college i binged for 10 days straight. the 11th night obviously i could not sleep a wink
Yeah, I think that was the problem. I binged from Wednesday to Saturday last week. I'm trying to go without liquor and stopped smoking last Tursday. I was always a light smoker, but did it when I drank, and I binged a lot the last couple of months. I'm on this new workout plan tho!

nothing better than pulling down some heaters during a strong binge session
