ok, here's the deal. every year i start exercising in late winter in order to get myself in shape to endure working outside during the hot texas summers. over the past 2 years, my exercise efforts not only had no affect but also started producing decreased energy levels and health. that does not mean that i worked out and the next day i was tired. it means after a prolonged period of time exercising, think 3-5 times per week for months, my overall fitness is almost less than it was before. add to that, a decreased sex drive and i knew something needed checking.
i had heard some low-T spots on the radio but was not going to go to a hack center that only makes money by giving T-replacement therapy. i went ti my doctor and he chuckled when i said i thought i had low-T and said "so does every guy now that there are commercials." i explained to him what i posted above and he ordered a battery of tests. he assured me it wasn't going to be low-T. next day he calls and said he was wrong but wants to do another testosterone test, same result.
myth, exercising raises testosterone. he said that exercising will give you a 15 minute boost after exercise but it does not raise overall T over a course of time. you will quickly surpass that T level needed to recover from workouts. T replacement is necessary to improve quality of life unless you just want to lay on the couch and exude 0 energy.
myth, low-T makes you not want to do manly things. false, still have 100% desire to do manly things, just don't have the energy. also, if you have a crappy taste for doritos, more or less T does not change that crappy taste.
if you think you might suffer, go to your doctor. i am already seeing huge results in 3 months.
