The GF works tomorrow night(nurse) so I cooked her valentines dinner last night.

Spinach stuffed chicken breast with Sautéed vegetables and rice pilaf. Served with a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates and some flowers.

Then we watched Murica kick ass at the Olympics!

She even got me a present! It's one of those ice cube trays that makes giant ice cube blocks for your whiskey!

She was surprised with my delivery today. I used Mrs. Gooch's advice with the sappy "I wanted you to be able to enjoy the flowers a day longer, etc. etc." I'm getting her favorite wine for tonight and trying to decide what i'm going to cook. Hmmm....

Easy Valentine's Day advice: Write her a card about why you like her and maybe draw a cute picture. Maybe accompany it with a flower or chocolate or something, but honestly, a card with some heartfelt sentiment is a cheap way to do something romantic that anybody will like!

No, I really don't care. He cooks delicious dinners about 51% of the time and the other 49% we go out to eat; so neither him cooking or taking me out to dinner would really be all that different than usual. Also I'm at the point that spending money on something that each other may not want is a waste (especially when we are spending from the same account).

I really just wanted to bring up the lack of cake thread again.
