Travis Ford completely losing his team would be a bigger story if Scott Drew was not also coaching in the Big 12.

Scott Drew being a clown show doesn't effect the conference like Ford's ineptitude does.

Getting violent with a fan should have much more than a 1 game suspension mir, I don't know how you can think that.

(I would never let the fan back in either)

We don't have the same standard of what constitutes violence. Also even if the guy said "go back to Africa" I wouldn't givehim a llifetime ban. I refuse to allow ESPN's overreaction cloud my good sense.

The ESPN/sportswriter high horse fallout is much worse than what the idiot fan or Smart did on the floor last night.

Smart cost his team a shot at the game which I think was his biggest mistake.

Seems like the fan isn't someone I would want representing my University if I was Tech.  Judging by how close he is to the court and other fan/player comments, Tech had to know and should've removed him long ago.  Their willingness to cash his season ticket check at the expense of the opposing 18-22 year olds led to this as much as anything.

Banning the fan when nobody knows what he said is weird.  Of course Marcus is going to say he said some vile crap...and he probably did....

Again I'd like to point out that Travis Ford's reaction leads me to believe that he didn't think Smart's explanation of what Orr said merited him standing up for his player. Smart spent a significant amount of time on camera explaining his view of what happened, not to mention what else he told Ford in the locker room. Travis Ford looked at those cameras and said "I'm not sure what happened." If it turns out and proven that this man told Smart to go back to Africa and Ford didn't defend Smart, I'll go to Stillwater and pack Ford's crap for him.

Also, some team is gonna get Smart at a good value. (although I've never really been sold that his game would translate well to the NBA.)

He's a point guard who can't shoot, doesn't have excellent handle, nor hasn't shown himself adept at setting up his teammates. His perceived draft stock is one of life's great mysteries.

I think you are going to be going to Stillwater.

What in the world makes you think Ford is not a gutless prick who wouldn't defend the player he duped into forgoing millions and who has been causing him frustrations this year?

I'd be more shocked to see Ford stand up for his player, frankly.

I don't have a problem with smart shoving a racist west texas hillbilly for telling him to go back to Africa.  No way he avoids a suspension though, probably one game.

If allegations coming out of Lubbock are true, perhaps Oklahoma State star Marcus Smart can’t be blamed for shoving Texas Tech fan Jeff Orr at the end of Saturday’s game.

Toward the end of the Red Raiders’ win, Orr is rumored to have screamed at Smart, “Go back to Africa,” which prompted Smart’s shove and technical foul.

The lady on the left is the worst ever, I hope she gets gangrene or frostbite and her hands fall off. Get out of his face, hag. I bet her breath smelled like coffee and Virginia Slims.

I would be stunned if it's revealed that this man said something racist.

The most disappointing aspect of this for me outside of how despicable Travis Ford acted is Gottlieb's snitchin. I think less of him now.

I think if this guy is texting with a media personality, he can go ahead and assume its not a private conversation

Gottlieb got it from the person texting with Jeff Orr

Yeah. If anything, it's Doug's friend who is the snitch. He's the one who screen shotted his texts and sent them to a member of the media who also happens to be an OSU fan.

OSU's next three games are at Texas, OU at home, then Tech at home.

Right, but it's safe to assume his "friend" is a member of the Texas Tech media, right?

I thought the guy put Gottlieb in contact with Orr on first read

He isn't obligated to share that info.

The only basis for assuming that is to justify what you think, we've gotten no evidence at all to make that a reasonable assumption

Looks like she's tells him to "eat crap." Not to mention the other hag wagging her finger in Smart's face. If Smart's push results in those three being banned from any future tech or big 12 event, then the suspension is worth it. It's pretty clear all three were trying to provoke him, but they're dumb enough to assume he wasn't going to react.
