Did you ever try drinking the torpedo juice?

Negative, but it is a badge of honor for me that I could shimmy my scrawny ass down the torpedo tubes and turn around to come back. Not a simple task.

As a seaman, did you ever see men's semen in the bad person of the Navy?

As Mechanics, neither of us would have ever been 'seamen'. That's the name for an E-3, but E-3 mechanics are 'Fireman'.

Weak joke, btw Spracs. Step up.

I'm sorry...

Can you get internet in a sub? Or is it like, the only entertainment is stuff you brought with you like DVDs and movies on flash drives and cassette tapes or whatever?

Do you just play cards to pass the time, or do you mix it up with board games like Monopoly and Sorry?
Eucre, hearts, and spades. Poker games on the weekends. There was often a continuous table going on Friday and Saturday. Corpsman ran the book.

Cribbage!  :excited:

Did anybody ever play Battleship?

Today they have a floating wire/antenna that can handle email. Not sure if Internet is possible. When I was there, no outside comms except family grams once a week. Mail drops were once a month or so. So we mostly had no outside communication. Sucked.

Family gram...  http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Familygram

You can find some funny family grams via Google search.

you know how you get more wasted on airplanes because of the altitude? well, like, do you get less wasted on a submarine since its at below sea level? man, itd be so great to be like I drank 150 beers last night and I still drove this sub home!

1MC: Reveille Reveille up all bunks. Field Day at 0800.

1MC: All hands turn to. Commence Field Day.

Field Day... Cleaning every square inch of your work space for three hours on Saturday morning while senior enlisted and officers roamed with their flashlights pointing out the dirt you missed.

(Head pops into your rack with a flashlight and whispers): first wake up!

15 mins later, same thing: second wake up!

30 mins later: hey shitbag! You're 10 minutes late for watch!!!

You ever look out the window and see two whales making whoopie?

How does dirt get inside a sub anyway?

It's probably mostly accumulated gross human leavings.  Hair, dead skin, spit, sweat, blood, semen, phlem, stuff like that.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.
