you should get a couple of tires and chop down a tree, make a nice fire pit. light all of this on fire and wait for the smoke to get thick. check the wind and make sure you are walking into it. the yeard journey is not a joke.

so when you are building long handlebars, do you grow all your mustache out to that length? or just grow out the ends and trim the upper lip to a reasonable level?

The whole thing. Mine has only been growing around 6-8 months so the stuff closest to the center isn't part of the handlebar curl much yet. Eventually, though, the center will add thickness to the curl. It's only a dozen hairs or so out there at the tip, lol. Poor guys have the most difficult job too.
