Bob Davis is great.  I wish Wyatt was like that sometimes.  Mitch certainly was/is to a certain extent.  But having homer announcers is great.

yes, absolutely.

Having a homer is one thing (I do not have a problem with how Wyatt comes across on the radio) but Davis is in a league by himself.  I thought Bob and Max FUCKINGSTEEN were bad but Davis and whoever he is teamed with this week are worse!!  Having Piper do a KSU game on TV is ALMOST as hard to listen to as Dave Armstrong.

I have no idea what any other Big 12 commentator sounds like and I can name only one out of market baseball play-by-play guys.  I watch a ton of Tigers games on MLB.tv and those guys I barely even notice.  The Boston guys are pretty funny too, but not memorable enough for me to remember.  Listed below are super homer studs that have tons of haters on other teams.

Any way to listen to Bob "OhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhThey'reGonnaCallitonKU!!!!!!!!!" Davis for free?

This is my favorite thing. Making fun of Bob Davis for always saying that is just my favorite thing.

Bob gets so pissed at calls that you miss parts of the game with his ongoing bitching and moaning.

That fight in the 1st half (I know... which one) I didn't know what happened for a good 7 minutes.

The best was when Marcus Smart flopped (I know... which one) Bob screamed "YOU GOTTA SEE THIS REPLAY". Dude, you are on the r a d i o

At his very best.

I really wish there was recorded audio of last night.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

The ou radio guys are kinda plain and professional like emaw. Gonzaga was mini ku, and complained about the refs constantly.

Yesterday had to be Bob's best game ever, considering just the content he had to work with. If the phog is any indication, then ku fans are absolutely melting down despite a win.

Georgia's longtime guy Larry Munson was the greatest homer that ever phoned home.

I spent 10 years living in Atlanta and got to meet him years ago. He was awesome.

No idea how anyone could hate total stud Max Falkenstein. Love that guy.

The job of the pbp guy is to tell you what is going on in the game so you can picture it in your head.  Bob Davis is a huge failure at this and therefore sucks.

Despise Nebraska.
But Greg Sharpe is really good. Wish we had him back. He's a good dude, a true EMAW. Greg got caught in the middle of the WIBW fiasco. He did some NCAA games for Westwood One a while back, and enjoyed his calls.

His call of Joe Hall rumbling downfield "get in there baby" is classic.

I miss Greg Sharpe and he is a hell of a guy.  I am glad he landed on his feet at Nebraska though because he is talented enough to have a really good job, and that is a really good job.

Agreed. It also made Sharpe part of the "secret" recording of Pelini's off-air trashing of the Nub fanbase. Greg's limited comments on the recording seem to reflect that he really wished he wasn't present for Bo's rant.

Greg will be at NU longer than Bo.

If I had $1 for every time he said, "Ohhhhh, they're gonna call it on Kirk," I'd be about $1000 richer.

I am sad that is seemingly the only bob davis call on youtube.  maybe goEMAW could use some seed money to start a bob davis watch to upload the best clips to youtube?

One of my favorite Bob Davis isms is the quiet, as if falling away from the microphone "wowwwwwwwwwww" when bob doesn't like the call.

My favorite from yesterday was the other guy saying "Doesn't it just feel like we deserve a call here, Bob?"
