I don't really understand their obsession with that dump. We built Ahearn. They were jealous. So they built a clone that was slightly larger.

Why do they act like that building is something special? It was built out of envy.

They crammed many as 13,000 when it first opened. Down to 10,500 at the end because of fire marshal regs.

You not only couldn't sit down in the student section at Ahearn, you had to stand sideways. There wasn't enough room to stand shoulder to shoulder.

But the student section in Ahearn was an entire side of the fieldhouse. Just like Bramlage.

They never stuck the students behind the basket or up in the corner like they do in Allen.

Not sure when girls decided going to games could be a social outing. It was definitely after we left Ahearn. Probably early in the Snyder era when the athletic dept had a big push to promote student tailgating  :drink:.

First time there on Saturday, wore purple in the student section, actually was more than zero Katsfans there.  Wasn't awful, except for the pants pissing on display from our guys. 

Didn't catch any flack from anyone, except for a door guy who shouted "See you next year" as i was leaving.    i told him to enjoy his studio apartment  :gocho:

This was my view for the game. I had to kinda look down a bit so the beam wasn't in the way. If other people stood I couldn't see because standing would have completely blocked my view, and I didn't really have much head room anyways.  :curse:

It was worth going, but don't just buy cheap tickets because they are cheap. I got them a day or so before hand because they were cheap. Don't make this mistake.

Should also mention that if I sat straight upright I would miss a little less than 1/4th of the court. Not a problem because as my mother always tells me I have "bad posture". Or something.

Heard a rumor that the KUAD had to hire a special cleaning crew to clean up after all of the K-State fans who pissed themselves during the game.  Apparently the urine smell was so thick that they're debating whether or not to even let K-State fans inside of AFH anymore.
