Bourbon is one of those drinks, maybe one of the only ones, that makes me really slur when I get loaded.  Most of the time when I'm smashed, even blackout, people say "I couldn't even tell you were drunk."

bourbon is just pretty gross you guys and seems like something that a freshman from goodland would drink in their dorm room.  :Yuck:

That's unfair and untrue.

i mean it might be and it might not be. here is the deal for me and bourbon...have you guys ever had the pee shakes or just smelled something and then your body shakes like involuntary style for one second or whatever? that's me and bourbon. i sniff and then quick half second shake or whatever. just yuck. also seems very hicky and amateur houry. like "oh ya eff man can you order me a jack and coke while i go grab some chew from my truck".

cuba libres and shake it.

or vodka tonics and rage it.

scotch/gin and tonics and hang back with the grampas.

bourbons and you are going to be singing friends in low places with the hicks.

I'm sorry guys but gin is rough ridin' gross.  :Yuck:

after a very, very long and self imposed hiatus due to too drinking gin straight out of a gatorade squeeze bottle in the sig ep showers before an alpha xi party, i am happy to report that i love the stuff again. started back a couple years ago and boom, boom, bam. it makes my face all tingly and fresh fruit feeling after four or so. what a treat.

Gin and tonic. I don't like drinking a whole lot of drinks with coke anymore. It's just too sweet.

Jack and Coke is hickish. It's also not bourbon.

Vodka and sodas if I'm going to be drinking for a while. It helps you stay hydrated at the same time, so you can dance without having to run to the drinking fountain after every song.

I do love scotch, but I drink scotch on the rocks at the same pace I drink beer, so if I'm planning on being conscious throughout the reception I'd better steer clear.

i'll be very up front and forth coming when i say i don't know which is which and whatever. i lump them all in to the pee shakes pile and then sweep them into the corner of the room, close the door, lock it and just walk as far away as possible.

while on the subject of soda water, let's stay on the subject ok? cause i like soda and i like water but soda water? really gross, you guys. one, tonic water just tastes better and two at least tonic water is up front about what it tastes like alone and without good tasting stuff mixed in with it. soda water is too bate and switchy for this serious drinker.

Squeeze a lemon into it. Vodka soda with a lemon is the crispest think to every hit your lips. It just sparkles all the way down. Tonic water has too much syrup for me. No thanks, I like not having diabetes.

Gin is an acquired taste and I've been going back to it a little more over the past year or so.  It's like making out with a Christmas tree.

For the record, I am also a fan of a double Grey Goose on the rocks with a squeeze of lime.

Oh man, depends on the wedding environment. If it's a summer wedding, and we're out on the deck overlooking the 18th green at 6 pm, give me that g&t and I'll get down with my bad self on some bourbon later.  If it's a fall/winter wedding, bourbon with a splash of water all night long please and thank you.

easy there boozie60. i mean, if you're choosing mixers based on whether or not they will give me diabetes then we need to get some other board members together with you and all sit down for an interven hangout session.

Will admit I started on the bourbon to get more rural route cred.  My suburbia upbringing was holding me back from being a real yeeehaww.
