Bourbon and Water.  Keeps you hydrated, gets you pak'd.  The hangover is minimal, because we all know that at a wedding, I am getting to level 7.

Even if beer and wine were options, this is my go to.

Double bourbon with a single rock.

On a side note:  I had a pretty savage 90 year old man tell me every night he drinks three to four Scotch and milks and finishes with warmed Courvoisier in his snifter.  I'm not sure if it's the key to longevity but he was in great shape and definitely enjoying his years left.

In this situation, I think I'd need a little kick start. I'd order as many Red Bull/Vodkas as I could hold. Get good and geetered out on them, move to something like gin/coke, and probably end the night with a few vodka/waters to make sure I'm hydrated.

Jack Daniels, for example, meets the regulatory requirements to be called "bourbon". They just choose not to market it that way.

much better for branding for them to just call it a "tennessee whiskey"

except wrong, because it's a tennessee whiskey, and a bourbon has to be from kentucky.

but otherwise, right.

Fun fact, no Bourbon is any longer commercially produced in Bourbon County, Kentucky.

Scotch

At a wedding, I would go for something a little less complex like Highland Park 12 with one or two drops of water.

Most likely whiskey waters.  Talk about goin' down easy :lick:  Gin and tonics if it's a warm weather wedding.  If I'm in the bachelor party and the wedding is slowing down I might pull up a chair with my bros and drink a scotch on the rocks.  Basically what I'm saying is that the gameplan changes based on who you're playing.

seriously went to a wedding with you where you were drinking Absolut and Dr Pepper at one point. what exactly was the game plan there?
