They work fine in NC.

Gonna win 'em all!

It's great when you've got a rental car with out of state tags.
I know in Colorado that driving on e470 in a rental can cost a ridiculous amount, because the rental company charges you something like a $15 admin fee in addition to pay a very small toll you can't pay any other way.

Out of state license plates are not charged.

Yes they are. I owe them money apparently for driving on it once on the way to CA, but it seemed like an unreasonable amount

That's their argument for tramping your 4th Amendment rights with the cameras.  There won't be gates so you won't have to slow down (as much).

I think so. I get my tag renewal form in the mail every year at the right address, anyway.

check your credit report lately, rage?

Just did. Nothing stands out.

No, Kansas. I've just assumed I wasn't getting billed because I'm out of state. I drive E-470 about once per year, but it's a round trip, so should be getting billed twice.

I think they still bill out of state but are notorious for messing up the billing (not sending).  If your credit doesn't show anything and you don't live in CO, I wouldnt worry about it till unless it comes up.  In Colorado they will hold your registration/license renewal if you don't pay.

Also, depending on how far on 470 you go, you could be billed 4 times for a round trip cause there's two seperate billing areas north and south of 70.

Yeah, I guess so. :dunno:

I entered my license number into their website to see if it had an outstanding balance and they didn't have a record of it. There is a 0 on my tag. Maybe they thought it was an O or something.

...or are they like the TX tolls now that if you only travel on it 1-2 times they just don't bill you as it's not worth mailing/processing for such a small fare?
