My 95-year-old grandma recently lost her license and has been depressed about staying home (says she gets bored), so I went to the $1 store and bought her everything I could fit into a cart - word puzzles, crosswords, picture books, a recorder, a train whistle, dolls, a paddle with ball, candy canes, chocolates, and dozens of other useless items - and called it a "boredom box."
Twenty-four hours later, I still don't think she's gone through everything in the box.
Oh, and she loved it!
