I don't care who does it. It is a stupid rule. Mexico doesn't do it.

We should not base what MLS does on what other countries do. We have playoffs. Most other countries don't. We have a summer schedule. Most other countries don't. We don't have a single table. Most other countries do. We don't have pro/rel. Most other countries do.

The plays are very similar but one has dudes rolling around with broke ankles. If general pop culture cared about MLS there would have been so many gif memes with those dudes falling like a sniper got them. Picture Lance Stevenson blowing Nat Borchers over

Maybe don't have the damn championship on a Sunday afternoon to compete against the NFL

This game should be on a Wednesday night, prime time, ESPN. Gives it 3 weekdays of marketing leading up to the evening's match. It's just too easy for the game to get lost with the hustle/bustle of the weekend during the holiday season paired with a full NFL slate.

This isn't hard guys. I had my tv on the game while I watched out the window while putting on lights #doingmypart

I'm sure there is someplace that has this data but I bet MLS has lower ratings in the US than LMX, EPL, UCL(on week days), and probably BLG too.

Would still have been crap if it was NYC-LA, but it being CLB-PDX didn't help ratings.

But yeah, I went to Old Chicago to watch the Chiefs during it. MLS Cup was on one TV and that TV was facing the clear garage door facing the patio. Every now and then, I watched the reflection of the game.

I'm pretty selfish and every playoff game past the Wildcard games being on a Sunday meant no conflicts with Cats football so I liked the schedule this year.
