Which soccer thread is the racist thread and which one is the non-racist thread. I need to know before posting any more.

Great!

In all seriousness. That MLS Championship is pretty sweet. My son has a Sporting KC scarf that we took turns wearing during the epic win.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Haha...the calls u get from agents for available foreign players are absolutely hilarious!  Only 9m euros for a 20-yr old spaniard u say!!??

Wow, 9m euros is a crap ton. Imagine how much we'll get for Uri when we finally sell him in a couple years.

EDIT: Woops, misread the tweet.

So I guess now would be a good time to share some of the stadium renderings that U of MIA architecture students presented recently.

Twitter is saying EJ to DC is official. No surprise.

He will still be on his current contract (I think it's like $175k) until a new deal is worked out where he will be a DP.

Yes, it's so awesome Miami gets another pro sports team where fans will only fill 40% of the stadium. Becks if you want to cheat on your wife in Miami, just rough ridin' do it, you don't need a soccer team as cover.

It’s almost like, ‘In what way is he not a problem?’ From being late, disruptive, abusive, uncoachable, the list goes on. You can only take it for so long. You either lose the whole team or you lose him.

[Johnson] is 29 years old now. This isn’t a kid who you’re hoping can figure it out. You are who you are.

Kinda glad we didn't go after him.

Players I'd be interested in drafting during this afternoon's Re-Entry Draft:

LM Joel Lindpere - last 2 true left wingers we've had were Convey (trash) and Ryan Smith (bust). Lindpere was a complete stud for NY in 2012 and before. Was ineffective for Chicago last season, but maybe PV could get something out of him.

RB/RM Brandon Barklage - our fullback depth right now is Jerome, Bessone, Gardner, and Ellis. Might be nice to have one more especially since Gardner sucks and Ellis is still developing. Not sure if he can play on the left side. That would be helpful.

ST Fabian Espindola - only if one of our striker leaves (like Dom or possibly Bieler)

CB Brandon McDonald - would be especially useful if Collin ends up leaving. Could be great depth behind Opara/Besler. Would be nice to have 4 true CBs even if Collin and Opara both stay. Olum is our emergency CB backup. After that, I guess Uri?

We're probably going to pass when it gets to us since we have the last pick in each round (19/19). Lots of players will get drafted though. I hope someone takes DeRo and Ferreira. I think they will.

Lots of tidbits in this by @BrianStraus on USL Pro expansion, including Jimmy Nielsen talking to OKC re: coaching job http://soccer.si.com/2013/12/18/mls-usl-pro-tulsa-nielsen-kansas-city-sacramento-oklahoma/#more-3027

 :horrorsurprise:

Tulsa and OKC are now both getting USL Pro teams. If Jimmy becomes OKC HC, would take an affiliation with them so hard.

DC United rumored to take Fabian Espindola with their first pick in the Re-Entry draft which starts at 2pm. Espindola + EJ could be dangerous.
